I used it in conjunction with the Book Review plug-in to get the book’s information automatically populated from Google via the ISBN. Works very well in that situation. They compliment one another.

i have to confess: this is truely one of the very best WordPress book-review-library plugins.

Super easy to use and super-super powerful. You can do alot with this plugin. I have tried other solutions but this is as
to close perfect as we have found, It offers everything we wanted so far so, and if we need more there are paid extensions at reasonable cost.
I ve testet many ones; here some features that have convinced me:

The installation of the book-review-library: it is easy – the first steps were done in a few minutes: you do not have to worry about it nor trouble to do such repetitive tasks.
With very little effort, the book review system will be up and running on your site right away,

it is ,,,,:

– Very easy to use and simplicity enables me to start using it almost immediately after installed it.
– Very easy to search a specific product,
– even if you know only a little about PHP, you can create your own template!

That means you can design the layout. Yes its true: You do not need develpoer-skills – and if you are no expert or professional
– this plugin makes you look like a genius sometimes.;) And last but not least: Support is overwhelming: – the develoer rocks!!!

conclusio; book-review-library – this plugin is for many many users – and for every one who wants to run an a book-based plugin

I tested it on a local version (XAMPP) it looks nice.
But it’s only a beginning, not yet a usable version:

[book-reviews] is resulting in a list with a lot of empty lines between entries and every time a “Genre” at the end. Do you display all, even the disabled or empty fields?

the listed entry does not show the ISBN even when filled

I’m missing publisher, “technical data” as pages, price, medium (I have also CDs and DVDs to show!)

Very nice would be an export/import function…

I’m desperately looking for a program like this as I want to handle more than 400 titles and it should be manageable.

Though it’s still lacking some basic taxonomies like Publisher, Language and Year of publication, it’s the best plugin I’ve seen for book reviewing or to build bibliographies online. Very usable!

The author is very kind answering all questions and giving great support at the forum.

Ability to organize books by author, subject, genre, rating, title, and series
Easy to use and stay organized
super fast response from plugin author on support
It fits within theme, doesn’t demand its own ‘look’

After using other plugins and review plugins, this is the best there is out there. It’s ease of use, powerful organizational engine – you won’t find a better one.

The support is super good as well. Gives you the ability to either include in your main feed of posts OR leave it as a stand alone category.

I used it in combination with the new weaver theme, so the book image comes out really well when sharing on social media. This may happen with every theme, I don’t know.

I took a look at all other plugins for book management, this is by far the simplest and neatest. No hassle, no fuss.

Books get important fields like categories, subjects, cover photo, ISBN.

Rather than book reviews, I’m using the plugin for a start-up book publishing company, and it works great.

Authors get Name and Description only, I hope that we could also have author photos; that would be a much-needed addition.

Also, if we could have a shortcode for listing authors (just like books). I know it falls outside the description of the plugin’s usage, but still… ??

?Book Review Library? caught my attention straight away: I needed a plugin that would give book reviews a central role in my website. Using “pages” gave reviews prominence but lacked a classification system and wasn’t handy. Using “posts” diluted the book reviews with the rest of the sit posts.

This plugin creates an area of its own for book reviews, indipendently handled from pages and posts. That’s what I needed. And it does so in a neat way: a detailed way of classification, search, visualization, ecc.

Easy to use, customizable, elegantly coded, and well thought; and the author provided me fast and efficient support when I needed some tweaking for language localization.
