How do I change the boldness and colour of the Read More part?
I’m currently adding the plugin to the Reviews section of the site.
Any help would be highly appreciated.
]]>Spent quite a bit of time to create testimonials slider – no option to duplicate, but the issue is that it works fine only in preview mode and when updated the page only borders from this block are visible. ??

]]>I’m trying to retrieve google reviews as a slider. Everything is going well with your plugin. Except that I only get 5 reviews as stipulated in the google API documentation:
“A JSON array of up to five reviews.”
Is it possible to have more reviews please (20)?
Do you offer an additional parameter Number of Testimonials? It would meet my expectations
Thanks for your feedback,
Hi,
I just purchased the PRO version and wish to use the Masonry.
It looks good on the Desktop, but is not displaying in the mobile phone.
The White space is there with a long scroll, but the Testimonials are not displaying.
Any idea why?
Michael.
There is an issue where if a shortcode is on a page that has multiple pages (ie /page/2/) then the shortcode tries to pull page 2 of testimonials which will often error out and show the “no testimonials found” message.
As a workaround, I included these shortcodes before and after the BNE shortcode to pretend for that moment that we are still on page 1. It works.
[fix_bne_paged_before][bne_testimonials ... ][fix_bne_paged_after]
add_shortcode('fix_bne_paged_before', function(){
$_REQUEST['bne_pg'] = get_query_var('paged');
set_query_var('paged', 1);
});
add_shortcode('fix_bne_paged_after', function(){
set_query_var('paged', $_REQUEST['bne_pg']);
unset($_REQUEST['bne_pg']);
});
It would be great to have this fixed or even if there’s a hook that I can tie in to before and after so I don’t have to add shortcodes every time.
]]>How do I hook into functions.php to create a default featured image for the testimonials? I sent you a message on the website as well since I purchased the pro version but you seem to be more active on this one.
]]>I just migrated my new website build to my main URL and all of the profile images for my Facebook reviews are broken. They come up with a 400 error and when I go to the image URL listed in the Google Console, it comes up with an error message of “(#3) Application does not have the capability to make this API call.” The reviews themselves are loading just fine, and images/reviews for Google are loading great. How do I go about fixing this?

I display on a client’s site the Google reviews on the homepage, unfortunately some reviews are translated into English while they are basically well written in French.
I just wanted to know why and if we could change this behavior and display by default in French? ??

]]>I now see that enabling this plugin after WP 5.5 causes a Google Warning across the top of the page asking for an API which can only be dealt with by giving Google a credit card number and what is quite clearly for the average layman a very complicated procedure to set up. The warning appears to be addressing the embedding of maps but I have no maps on my site and disabling this plugin removes the Google warning.
If the author can assist here with some further help I’d be grateful.
]]>I am using [bne_testimonials layout=”slider”]. As of WP 5.5, the slider does not display anything.
Installing the “Enable jQuery Migrate Helper” plugin solves the problem and reports:
jQuery.fn.load() is deprecated
That call is in
\wp-content\plugins\bne-testimonials\includes\lib\cmb2\apigen\theme-bootstrap\src\js\jquery.min.js
Hi, I found that if I update the WordPress default jQuery version to latest, the slider will stop working.
Is there a way to work around?

Hi,
I have installed pro version of this plugin. I receiving error messages in Webmaster Tools regarding this Review Snippet markup . In every page, where reviews presented it says – Invalid object type for field “itemReviewed”.
Can someone help me?

]]>Hi,
I started to get this error:
Warning: shuffle() expects parameter 1 to be array, null given in /home/womoguid/public_html/wp-content/plugins/bne-testimonials-pro/includes/shortcode-display-api.php on line 272
The google badge shows 0 reviews as well.
I’m guessing something goes wrong while fetching reviews, but what?
It was working fine for months and no changes were made. Any ideas?
]]>Hi,
I love this plugin! It looks much cleaner and is more functional than the others that I have looked at.
However, in the sliding widget the first set of text always gets cut off after it loads. See screenshot below:

It doesn’t rectify itself until the next testimonial loads in a few seconds. How can I fix this so the first testimonial also loads fully?
Thanks for your help!

I was hoping there was a way to add a link to the slider widget title so that viewers can click on it and go to the full page with all of the testimonials?

]]>Is there a way to reposition the name/website below the testimonial in the list layout?

]]>I have the Testimonials plugin installed on the above site where I have created nine categories. For simplicity I have named the categories “one” through to “nine” On seven of the categories it works very well but on “four” and “nine” it produces a narrow white line and nothing else as you will see on the above page.
This is the code for category “four”:
[bne_testimonials limit=”20″ order=”desc” orderby=”date” category=”four” message_required=”false” layout=”slider” theme=”default” arrangement=”1″ alignment=”left” image_style=”square” name=”true” image=”true” tagline=”true” website=”false” rating=”true” readmore=”true” readmore_limit=”250″ readmore_text=”Read More” readless_text=”Read Less” author_bg_color=”#4e8abf” rating_color=”#eded00″ nav=”false” arrows=”false” pause=”true” smooth=”true” animation=”slide” animation_speed=”1000″ speed=”5000″ schema=”true” schema_type=”LocalBusiness” schema_name=”Website Design” schema_image=”https://cwd.castonwebdesigns.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Logo-CWD-Roundell.png”%5D
The shortcode I’m using is [bne_testimonials custom=”549″] but the same problem exists when using the full code.
Any help you can offer will be very much appreciated.
]]>Hi There,
I recently bought the PRO version of the plugin and using the google places API key to get my reviews. Unfortunately only 3 results are coming in, when I have at least 15 that should show. Is there something I’m missing or need to do in order to show more?

]]>Hi,
I use BNE Testimonial Slider on my website and it worked fine so far. But now there is nothing displayed any longer. If I use BNE Testimonial List, everything is there.
Both implemented via page builder.
All plug-ins updated. I also tried to deactivate all other plug-ins, but without success either.
I use WordPress 5.3
Any ideas? Thank you!

]]>Hi,
I’ve been using the testimonials plugin for a couple of years on my client’s website. It used to work fine, but for some reason the slider shortcode stopped working a few months ago. When I use it nothing is displayed. The list layout format works, so for now I’ve switched to using that.
I’ve tried using the the new shortcode and the old one, but neither works…
[bne_testimonials layout=”slider” category=”general-dentistry”]
[bne_testimonials_slider category=”general-dentistry”]
I was wondering if the problem could caused by the version of PHP the site is running – it’s on 5.6. Is that likely to cause a problem? I do plan to update php soon.
Other info…
Wordpress version: 5.2.2
BNE Testimonials: 2.0.4
Any help much appreciated.
]]>Hi,
I would like to add an additional (dropdown) field to the submission form (to ask the customer if they would recommend us). How would I go about this please?
Cheers,

Hey guys,
I’ve been using this plugin on many sites over the years but I can’t get it to display on this particular site using a Gutenberg editor designed front page.
I’m using a shortcode block inside a container block. The shortcode is below –
[bne_testimonials layout=”slider” orderby=”date” order=”desc” image_style=”circle” animation=”fade”]
When I inspect the front end I see the CSS below –
.bne-testimonial-slider.bne-flexslider .slides>li?{
display:?none;
}
Unticking the checkbox in the Chrome inspector, reveals the slider. I don’t understand why this CSS is being output.
However, even though the slides are showing, with the CSS box unchecked, they are stacked on top of each other in a list fashion, so there appears to be a couple of issues here.
Regards,
Paul.
