]]>Hi Support Team, i have a recommendation for the Tool. I used several before and found and worked with one before for a longer time which is called “Postoplan” by the company contenive .
In this tool it is possible to post to Instagram, Facebook, Telegram (formerly even to Whatsapp and Facebook Groups). But what i found there is the possibility to prepare a Post an also add Videos or Pics or PDF��s to the post and post it into the different social platforms. I used this function on Telegram to prepare an automated product presentation and schedule it to be repeated once a month at a special date and time. Now as i found Blog2Social I am really glad for the possibility not to need any other tool to write and prepare my posts for social media except my wordpress and website backoffice, but the function of adding pics or videos to an automated post row to the defined telegram group and the post time divided in minutes (not only in quarter hours) is missing for me in Blog2Social. Perhaps it is still existing but i did not find it actually. Can you give me some advice in this concern or is it possible to add these function to the tool??
I’m just putting it out there that I’m having an issue with automatic population of hashtags since upgrading to Blog2Social version 8.0.2 from 7.5.5. I upgraded to WordPress version 6.6.2 from 6.5.5 without issue but then after I upgraded to Blog2Social version 8.0.2 from 7.5.5 I started having a problem with hashtags randomly not populating into the post field when selecting the “Share on Social Media” button on the “Social Media Posts” page. This was occurring on both Facebook and X posts. Changing template settings and re-selecting the post to regenerate it or refreshing the sharing page has no effect on the issue.
I reverted back to WordPress 6.6.2 and Blog2Social 7.5.5 and the problem is gone. Just giving everybody a heads up in case they’re experiencing the same thing.

on 19 July this plugin sent my site down. Suddenly I started to notice pages that were loading in 1 second started to take 1 to 2 minutes. The issue coincides with Godaddy injecting some changes in the PHP post and taxonomy wordpress files.
Anyhow after troubleshooting for hours it is clear all goes back to normal when Blog2Social: Social Media Auto Post & Scheduler is deactivated the issue stops and page load fast all the times.
When Blog2Social: Social Media Auto Post & Scheduler is active pages take 2 minutes to load, unless they are in cache.
You can reproduce the issue with a Flush cache which makes all tags and custom taxonomy pages load in 1 to 2 minutes.
Please investigate and let me know.

]]>Blog2Social seems not to be sharing my new posts to Twitter or Facebook today and is also causing a delay when I press to publish a new post (i.e. the browser spends a long time thinking about it, which doesn’t occur if the social posting feature or plugin is disabled). ]]>Hi I am having trouble with sharing on facebook, I get 403 error, I did facebook sharing debugger and got the message that the reason might because of robots.txt. The robots.txt has been now updated but the 403 forbidden error is still. I did install blog2social and after that the website became very slow, not my website, it is website of my work. I did remove blog2social and my college did update the server. almost 12 hours after I installed the blog2social the forbidden error started. Buty I allready have tried to reinstall the blog2social and it did not work, the.htaccess file is ok and working same as the develope environment. I dont get the 403 when sharing from develope page. and the pages are almost identical. I also installed blog2social into the develope page and still no problem there. Is there a way to fix it? There seem to be no restrictions on facebook and they told me to get support from wordpress team

There appears to be a bug in the plugin. In plugins/blog2social/includes/Loader.php, from line 2362. When the?ALTER?statement returns?0?it is seen as?false?by the plugin instead of the plugin explicitly implementing a strict check for?false. This is causing an error when trying to activate the plugin.
“Blog2Social does not seem to have permission to write in your WordPress database. Please assign Blog2Social the permission to write in the WordPress database. Please also make sure that your MySQL server runs on v5.5.3 or higher, or ask your server administrator to do it for you.”
Please let me know if this is the issue.

]]>There’s been a couple of threads about performance issues due to getimagesize causing timeouts and high server usage.
Looking at the getImage function under blog2social/includes/Meta.php that retrieves the imagesize for the og:image tag it downloads the local image with an HTTP request, which adds 100ms or so to the load time and potentially causes bottlenecks/timeouts if a lot of requests are made at a time.
I can see further up in that function there is code to retrieve the image dimensions of the featured image stored in postmeta which would be more efficient, and means the HTTP request to the image wouldn’t be required.
However that code only runs if the following is false:
if (isset($this->metaData[$type . ‘_image’]) && !empty($this->metaData[$type . ‘_image’])) {
On a default install with a featured image added to a post this returns true so the dimensions aren’t retrieved via the database.
Could you please look into this to prevent the extra HTTP request in the background and the affect on performance?
