Hey, this is a super handy plugin! If you’re up for it, would be great to have a setting that determines what this plugin does on the existing products (added before plugin was installed), so that I don’t have to click into the classic view when editing an old product. It would show classic view by default, until a block has been created on the product.
Thanks.
]]>Hey there,
I’m testing the plugin on a staging site and it works great. And the result is also very pleasing. Great work and a long overdue addition. I’m really wondering why there is not more discussion and plugins about enabling blocks for products?!
Right now in testing it seems I can completly ditch my pagebuilder and reduce load time on every site of ~1 second and ~160 kb of unnecessary (already compressed) files.
So for me there are a lot of reasons why I want to use blocks with products.
So now there is the elephant in the room:
what will happen when blocks inside products are officially supported and I want to deactivate this plugin?
Will it mess something up? Would I have to go trough every product again and rebuild them again? Or will it be (from todays point) a painless transition – just deactivate and not even notice that one plugin has gone?
Could you provide some insight in how you designed the plugin and how it will go in the future when blocks are officially introduced? Thank you for the response and – many many thanks for the plugin.
