I installed Blank Slate yesterday and it worked fine other than the fact that I ended up with a page that has some sort of background image instead of being all white. Is this normal? If so, is there a way to turn this off? I checked my theme and did not see anything that would cause this, but I know enough about WordPress to be dangerous. I am trying to attach an image of what I am referring to.

Wordfence is reporting the plugin as abandoned. Also there may be no necessity for technical updates, may you please update the meta-infos on wp.org? (Tested up to, php-version, etc.)

I’m using Blank Slate to build this landing page with Divi Builder (Plugin) and when the page template is set to Blank Slate, the page won’t show in Google Analytics. If I change the page template to Default Template, the page instantly shows up in GA, but obviously the page doesn’t look the way it should. I’ve tried adding my GA tracking script code into a Divi Code Module at the top of the page, but that also does not work. Can someone please help me troubleshoot this?

The Blank Slate plugin theme displays a list of all pages for the website at the top of each page followed by a search box and button. The feature appears to be a widget of some type. There aren’t any widgets listed under the widgets customizing menu but there is a message displayed stating “Your theme has 1 other widget area, but this particular page doesn’t display it”. This isn’t the case though. How do I remove the page list and search box and button from the top of my website pages. Thanks in advance.

I’m using the Blank Slate plugin to create a basic landing page for a friend. I have a design that he’s fairly pleased with, but the tablet size version, particularly in portrait, is a mess. I built the page using columns. I really like both the mobile and desktop versions.

Is there a way to force the page to display the mobile or desktop version of the page to a tablet as well and skip over the awkward tablet arrangement entirely? I’ve been searching around everywhere but I’m not really a developer and I’m guessing maybe I’m not using the right vocabulary to get the answer.

What a great plugin! I just took over a website that is using an outdated theme and will be moving to Divi this year some time. In the meantime, I loaded the Divi builder on the site and Blank Slate works fine. But… I want to display the main menu bar on the page or pages I create using Blank Slate. How do I do that?

i see that i can add my GTM code to the blank-slate-template.php file in the plugins folder but can i override this template file so i dont need to re-input the code if/when the Blank Slate plugin updates?

I’ve created this page to serve as a landing page for Instagram. Strangely, it is centered on my desktop browser, and on Safari on my iPad, but it’s off center–to the right–on my cell phone.

I’m using the Enfold theme, which is generally super compatible with cell phone displays. Has Blank Slate somehow nixing this responsive capacity?

Hi, the comments are not loading. I use the Twentyeleven theme and discussion is activated on the page. I can activate comments on other pages that use the default page template. Any idea what is happening there and how I can change it?

I am having a slight issue however. When I am logged into the site as admin the page I have loaded with the template looks like the following:

However if I log out all formatting disappears and I am left with the following:

How can I go about sorting this?

I love Blank Slate and want to use it for an upcoming event where I need a number of pages with a special header. However, I notice that even though I have clicked “Allow Comments” on the page setting, the comments section doesn’t appear on my test page. Is there any way to still have comments if a page uses the Blank Slate template?

Just to say that I am a complete beginner, so the answer may be obvious, but I have had a good root around now for a while and I cannot find anything.

The logo on the link page that I sent is wrong and should look like https://www.megalithicmaps.com. I don’t know how to change it. Pretty sure that it is an obvious thing in WordPress but I am a tad lost.

I added the Blank Slate plug-in and it all works great. However the only issue is that the H1 and H2 formatting seems to be taken down or at least does not show on the visitor side how it shows on the page template.

Any suggestions on how to improve that?

I developed a mobile page using the Blank-Slate theme. How do I disable page scaling?

I know to add <meta content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0, maximum-scale=1.0, user-scalable=0;" name="viewport" /> to the html header. But don’t know how to add it.

When I use any other template for this page the image is responsive. However, when I select Blank Slate the image is not responsive. This had been working fine until recently.

I’ve already tried the previous suggestion located at Blank slate showing template background. I’ve tried my Themes CSS Editor as suggested w/your code, I’ve modified your CSS to my page_id-2682, and I’ve tried inline css (both methods). To no avail, my background still comes up. Please help.

I have built a landing page with Page Builder and need to remove header and footer. I have tried switching the templete to Blank Slate but it resulted in replacing the whole page with just plain text. Any ideas?

Hi there, I built a few pages in Kartra and am using Blank Slate to host the page on my WordPress site. For each page I’ve done this with, it won’t load in Safari on my iphone. Works fine on my desktop, and works fine in Chrome on iPhone – but not Safari. Any idea what’s going on? It just seems to be stuck in a loop (attempting to load) between my website page url and app.kartra.com. Not sure if it’s a Kartra problem (waiting for their support to respond to my ticket) or a Blank Slate problem. And advice is appreciated. Thank you! ??

I installed the Plugin, created a new page, chosen the Blank Slate Template and when I hit Publish it says “Publishing failed”.

And then it doesn’t show up in the Template Drop Down anymore, so I can’t even chose it. :/
