When I register the Api key on the plugin it says “Adding API key failed: Site Not Registered/Verified In Bing Webmaster” but the site is verified via Google Search Console. The url of the site is harrypotter.merchandisingplaza.com. How can I fix?

Hi there,

I’m reaching out on behalf of one of our customers whose site is hosted on WordPress.com. When they enter the API key, they get this error:

Adding API key failed: IP Throttled

It seems that Bing is throttling WordPress.com’s IP addresses. As we foresee many of our customers using your plugin, could we request for you to increase our limits? Is there an email address that we can reach out to directly regarding this?

I’ve just installed and activated this plugin – and because my site has a reasonably strict Content-Security-Policy, I received *208* reports on just loading the WordPress dashboard.

Could you not rely so much on fonts hosted on Sharepoint? I’d hate to think of the GDPR issues regarding this (especially in Germany…). What is wrong with the WordPress supplied fonts?

2. it does not check if the link has been submitted previously.
3. manually paste links or view links available in the admin.

Hello,
When the plugin is disabled and then enabled, the API Key is empty.
Whent eh plugin updates and for events unkown, the API Key keeps on showing up empty from time to time so have to re-enter the key so no submissions was done when the KEY was not setup in the plugin. Is there not an option to have it “remember key” instead of having to enter it every time again to get it working again.

hello
i’m running a website with rtl language , on the bing webmaster tool plugin page when i checked “submited urls” section i saw links are santized and rtl words are removed from the link and were replaced with dash, which will obviously corrupt the link and will lead to a 404 page.
now my question is does the plugin submit the correct links to bing or submited links have the same issue?

The plugin simply submits everything, even URLs of posts that are not public at all.

The following is required:

1 Selection of which post/custom post types should be submitted.
2. what post status these posts / custom post types must have in order to be submitted.

This is the only way make the submisson work properly without wasting resources.

Occasionally, it seems the bing webmaster tools plugin is unable to connect to the bing api (line 303 of class-bing-url-submission-admin-routes.php).

This error returns “Uncaught Error: Can only throw objects” and is not gracefully handled.
At least a few other users have had this same issue:

This plugin automatically generated unknown URLs and submitted them to Bing indexed. And then someone from Bing webmaster removed my website from Bing search. I get visitors from Bing since 2011. I never had a problem like this. This plugin ruined all my hard works.

I use the plugin and i notice in his folder have a JSON manifest:

/bing-webmaster-tools/asset-manifest.json

Now the new WordPress API demand this file from any Theme, the problem
is not was JSON in the past, is was XML:

Hi, I have tried out your plugin. These are just a few notes about that I noticed. Hopefully it is a good feedback so you can improve the plugin ??

1. Try not to pollute main navigation. You only have one page in admin and that can easily be placed under Settings or Tools.
2. When opening up the plugin page I first see an error that there is no API key, and a second later everything is fine. This isn’t a big deal but it just looks awkward and unprofessional.
3. Quota for only 10 posts seems small, especially since this counts for post updates as well that can be tiny like fixing a typo. Plus, this can be ok for a small website, but what about big websites where multiple editors are working daily? If the problem is on your servers, maybe set something like auto publish new posts and updates every few hours? I am not sure how much Bing would need time to index new pages or updates without this plugin.

Hi I notice the error has been reported a few weeks ago but nobody has responded,
I am experiencing the error when using backup buddy to perform a backup:

The error that backup buddy produces:

Hi,
I recently noted that the plugin is getting an internal React JS error that breaks all of my Dashboard pages. It is being generated from the following path: “/wp-content/plugins/bing-webmaster-tools/admin/admin-ui/build/static/node_modules/react-dom/cjs/react-dom.production.min.js”
