Once I downloaded your plugin I can no longer access the plugin section on wordpress. I tried going into my server to delete your files and it still gives me this error.
Is there an updated file I can use to fix this error?
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘:’ in /home/content/r/m/e/rmercer/html/compass/wp-content/plugins/bigmailchimp/classes/MCFormWidget.php on line 36
Thank you in advance,
Lisa

]]>Hi,
Is it possible to chagne the button text to reflect the setting in the “General Form” settings in Mailchimp. Instead of “Sign Up” I would like the forms to say something else.
Thanks and great plugin!
]]>As per instructions on the developer’s page, all settings are done correctly, API, list ID, etc, but not getting the BigMailchimp adds a new meta-box in post/page edit page alongside of your WYSIWIG editor. Checked screen options, and bigMailchimp is checked.
further, the short code doesn’t work. When I didn’t see the meta-box, I inserted a short code as outlined, replacing the # with 0,1,2, etc, but nothing.
Please help. I need to display my list on a page, and yours is the only plug-in I have found that does that.

Hi there
I work for a company based in Ontario, and in January 2014 all companies with 50 or more employees need to have accessible websites, adhering to the AODA (Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act).
All websites need to be WCAG 2.0 (Level A) compliant, and I noticed that the coding in your plugin was giving us a bit of an error. Unfortunately I am in no way knowledgable when it comes to coding, and so I am unable to fix this myself. I was curious as to whether or not you had plans to make your plugin compliant with this code in order to assist those who may have disabilities and would use something like a screen reader?
If you would like to see the errors that were coming up, I used achecker.ca and our company website is https://www.arntstopsoil.com. I would really love to hear back from you! Thanks.

]]>Hi
I have a form on my site using the bigmailchimp plugin and can’t seem to get it going properly.
This is the mailchimp form here:
On my website it displays the form asking for a zip code. It should be postcode, and therefore it rejects addresses when they are inputted as postcodes not zip codes.
It is also displaying the birthday incorrectly – according to my UK formatting it should be displaying dd/mm but mm/dd is being asked for.
I am using the shortcode of Bigmailchimp to display the form in a modal box. You can see it here:
https://audenguitars.com/contact/
Lastly, it also doesn’t display an asterisk or anything near the required fields. How do people know which fields are required unless there is some visual indication?
Finally, I can’t seem to actually make it do anything when an email is accepted. The form just goes away. Should it not say ‘thank you’ or start the mailchimp opt-in process?
Thanks for any help.
]]>I experience the problem that not all of my custom fields from my list’s signup form are displayed by your plugin. It seems to work for required fields and checkboxes, but not for simple input fields with type “text”.

]]>Hi,
the plugin adds any email to the list without confirmation email. How is it possible to enable opt-in confirmation email (Double Opt-in functionality) in order to prevent random email addresses from subscription?
Thanks!
I tried several contact form plugins and couldn’t get any of them to display thank you or redirect to another page — I began to look for js conflict — disabled BigMailChimp and voila! all of the contact plugins worked as expected.
Sorry — I won’t be using your plugin.
]]>Don’t now why but its empty the directory.
]]>I am using big mail chimp to embed mailchimp form on my site – this works but the thank you for subscribing page that I made as a url to be used – so it continues the layout of the site doesnt come up – its just the line of code
{“status”:”success”,”0″:”Subscribed – You will receive an email confirmation shortly!”}
on a white background
If I subscribe directly using the mailchimp code I get the thank you page link I set up in mail chimp
is there a shortcode or something for this?

]]>In your installation instructions: https://bigemployee.com/projects/big-mailchimp-wordpress-plugin/
You talk about a BigMailChimp page. My installation worked fine and I have the plug-in activated and have the widget set up in my default right nav bar but I don’t know what to do next because I don’t know where the “BigMaiChimpPage” is located.
A video of the installation process on YouTube would be great but in the meantime if you could point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it.
Also, I am able to see plug-in code for BigMailChimp but I don’t see what I can do with it per your instructions.
]]>Ooopps – guess I can’t use this as it causes fatal error in 3.4.1

I installed BigMailChimp and it whitescreened the moment I activated it. Was looking for the Widget and failing to find it.
