I’ve tested BetterLinks, Pretty Links, and Thirsty Affiliates, and BetterLinks stands out as the best option. The dashboard is exceptionally clean, with all the features and settings I need as an affiliate. After a few weeks of testing, I upgraded to the PRO version and haven’t looked back.
A couple of improvement suggestions:
example.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=betterlinks-analytics&id=39). Currently, I need to switch to the Analytics section, search for the link, and then click on its details. This shortcut would save several steps.Rating: 5 stars

You can only import from Pretty Links if you have a file. For this you have to pay at least 99$ to could have exported there ??
Update:
I got help by manually importing from pretty links by giving credits.
I suggest to implement import without an expensiv file there (Pretty Links export 99$) as for example URL Shortify doe’s.
I also was confused that categories management is only to see in grid view.
All in one, the support was very kind and helpfully.

overall pretty useless plugin. just listen to this: in PRO version you get function to put random numbers and letters in URL of post,page… instead of SEO pretty links

I use BetterLinks for a number of short links and really like the fact that they also handle UTM variables.
The support provided by Pial?on this forum has been the most impressive support of any plugin or support issue I have ever posted about. Replies are not only very timely, but really well explained (sometimes including videos) and thorough. It’s obvious that customer support is a priority.

Support is fast, friendly, responsive, and helpful. The authors quickly fixed the bug I reported.
This plugin is maintained, does the job well, and is flexible. Unlike most of the alternatives it does not require a link prefix.
The plugin is currently about 7 MB containing 53 directories and 223 files (according to the du & tree commands). It would be nice to see a slimmer plugin, but it fares better than its main competitors–one is more than 2x bigger.
Downside is the high number of nags, notifications, and upsells to steal your attention and get you to buy the Pro plugin. I get that the authors need to make a living, and a few upsells are tolerable, but the variety and number of nags are a mark against this otherwise great plugin.

Was using a competing product (the “big name” in the field) and switched because that old dog just barely hunts anymore.
BetterLinks is constantly being developed and improved upon. And unlike most software developers, this is one where you can get real, live help at any hour of the day or night. I just got great support at 3 A.M. on a Tuesday. Thanks Loren! ??
There are still a few features I’d like to see BetterLinks equipped with, but overall, as of 2024, IMHO its best of its class, by far! I strongly urge you to check it out.

I really like the idea of having this functionality in your WP setup.
