Hello, is there any possibility to have your plugin to be compatible with bbp private group plugin? In the newest version the issue, which is visible on my forum is that users can see unread topics graphic even when all forums, to which they have access, have been read. The button is green because of topics from private groups to which the mentioned users don’t have access.

]]>Hello,
I have a BBpress forum, with a main page displaying main forums list and sub-forum contained.
Main-Forum 1
Sub-Forum 1.1
Sub-Forum 1.2
Sub-Forum 1.3
Main-Forum 2
Sub-Forum 2.1
Sub-Forum 2.2
The plugin correctly display new posts per main-forum in the main page, but not ifor sub-forum. So, users cannot use direct sub-forum links in main page but must click on main-forum (with new posts) and then, click on sub-forum.
Do we have a way to display the new post icon per forum and sub-forum in main page ?
Thanks
]]>Hello,
I have tested your plugin and it works on my PC.
But it seems that it is not working on Apple devices as iPhone or iPad.
Is a known limitation ?
Thanks for your answer

]]>Hi Coronoro,
sorry for my bad English.
First of all, thanks for your job.
From a week now, the plugin does not work correctly.
The icon link to the last reply of a Topic instead of the first reply unread.
Previously the plugin has work correctly.
Thanks

If i click into a forum which is showing as having unread posts and click mark all as read it correctly changes the icon for all of the topics.
however the main forum list still shows the forum as having unread posts in it.
Are these saved seperately somehow? how to mark the forum as read when all topics are marked as read.
]]>Is it possible to have different indicator image for forum topics?
(That is, a different read / unread indicator image for each topic in the forum)
]]>Hi… The ‘Mark all read’ button is missing from the display of group forums.
I assume group forums use a different template.
Any chance of having an update for this, please?
Thanks again for such as fantastic plugin. It is working great with my widget to display unread topics.
]]>Hello. First, great plugin, this is much needed functionality, thanks so much for providing it.
I have a page on my site where I’m pulling some bbpress topic information and would like to be able to hang the read/unread icon off of those. I’m attempting to use your ‘bbp_unread_posts_IconWrapperBegin();’ function to do so. It’s grabbing the read state of the icon and populating the bbp_get_topic_last_reply_url correctly, but it’s not getting the unread icon for the topics correctly. I’m assuming that the $unread_path variable isn’t working here and it’s defaulting to the read_path instead.
It feels like I’m close to getting this to work but something’s tripping me up. Is this possible? Is there a way to get these 2 icons to populate correctly on a page leveraging your functions?
Thanks.
]]>Hello!
First of all, I’d like to thank you for this plugin. Is a life saver.
Now, to the question at hand: I have an hidden forum that I use to communicate with my moderators, but there seems to a problem with the plugin because, even though I’ve read all of the topics inside it, I had to use the “mark all as read” from the forum index to get the “read posts” icon instead of the “unread posts” one.
There are no subforums inside, only topics – one sticky, another super-sticky and a normal one – so could it be that hidden forums causes some kind of problem?
Also, I had to read the super-sticky topic in all the forums for the icon to turn to “read topics”.
Thanks in advance for any help you may give me and a have a good day!
]]>Its possible add icon for sticky, lock… post plz.
Great job for this job ??
]]>I LOVE what this plug-in does. Is there anyway I can go and change the icon it displays for Read and Unread?
]]>Today i make update to fresh version 1.0.8
I make my Slovak translation from tmp-bbpress-unread-posts-v2.pot included in plugin folder, but my translation dont work.
I try copy translation to ….plugins/bbpress-unread-posts-v2/languages
then into my theme where is other tranlsations but not work.
Where must be placed translation files and And what names should have?
I try tmp-bbpress-unread-posts-v2-sk_SK.mo (po), bbpress-unread-posts-v2-sk_SK.mo (po) but nothing works…
I just stopped by to check in and see how things were progressing and I noticed it said that you updated the plugin yesterday but the version number is still the same.
Was there really an update? ??
Hoping to see a few of those upgrades we have been chatting about!!
Looking forward to your reply…
]]>Great plugin – thank you!
I recently imported phpBB into wordpress. Therefore, from day one I have thousands of members and hundreds of thousands of posts.
Therefore, the plugin is telling all users when they log in that every single topic is unread and new.
I’d like to start with a clean slate here – how can I mark all topics for all members as read, so they only start seeing the unread alerts for new content on future logins?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions or advice.
]]>You ROCK!!!
Thank you sooo much for your recent update!! I’m very thankful for your efforts ??
Four requests…
1) I would like the “Mark All Topics as Read” button to show up after the word ‘Topic’ in the topics header. Can you point me in the best direction to do that?!
2) When you go to the list of new Topics, would it be possible to show the new ‘Replies’ count? It would of course just say (1) if it’s a new post without comments.
3) I would like to place the numbers of new posts on our Members Profile page’s and next to the forum title in the sidebar widget as well. Is there a simple php get command for that?
4) How/where can I send you my appreciation?? You need a donate button on your page ??

I am in the process of adopting this and am delighted with it. It works well for me. I have a deep nest of forums and I particularly like the way marking topics as read applies to the sub-forums too.
A suggestion/request. How about when the Mark all topics read button has been used, it changes to Mark all topics unread ? That way I could mark as read all topics in a nest of forums rand then drill down to a sub-branch and unmark that. Because it would not know whether the sub-branch was already all read or not, you would need to mark all read again to turn the button into Mark unread (unless there were both mark and unmark buttons).
What is the css that determines the button size? Its a bit big on my theme and I would like to shrink it.
Also, for your interest, I had a widget that displayed recent topics and replies – actually (Style Pack) Latest Activity which is part of the bap style pack plugin. I have modified it to call bbp_is_topic_unread() to check the read status and only list unread ones. So now the widget displays a ‘to read’ list. And as you follow the link to an unread topic (or mark it read in any other way) it disappears from the to read list which is topped up by another unread topic.
thanks for the good work – Tony
]]>I guess my title is explicite enough ??
would be nice to have that option (switch?), as many users of my site (www.cwowd.com) are used to it and a bit upset (but, as the admin, i’m very pleased to have at least your plugin, GG!)

]]>Hi,
This plugin is exactly what I’m looking for. Major thanks for the effort ??
However I’m having some issues. I used bbp_list_forums to list all forums and sub-forums on the homepage.
This function however does not have any action bbp_theme_before_forum_title
this plugin can hook onto.
My loop-single-forum.php
template looks like this.
Do you (or anyone else) happen to know a workaround for this?
]]>Hi, I am using this template for the loop-forums.php:
Can you help me to make this plugin work this my index forums?
I want the icon “unread post” to appear in every forum in the index.
thanks, this plugin is amazing ??
]]>Hi,
Could you review the code in order to make it translatable please ? As soon as done, I’ll make a french translation.
Thanks in advance
]]>After updating to 1.06 all icons for my forums are indicating that everything is read. But when entering one or the other forum I do have some unread posts.
]]>Hi I just tried to update from updates core and I got the forum blank page than I downloaded again manualy to see if something was broken and the same.
]]>The plugin does NOT work since the update one hour ago!
Thankfully, I’ve got a copy of the old version on my machine.
It creates error messages and makes your whole site unusable.
Also, the style in the forum is totally messed.
I recommend to fix this in the next days.
Is there a way to get a page listing all of the unread posts or topics with unread replies?
]]>I have several customization to my bbpress layout.
Where is the ‘mark topic unread’ button supposed to show up at?
The only button I see is a global Mark All Topics as Read. There is no button that says Mark All Topics As UnRead.
Is there supposed to be a topic by topic button? and if so where should it show up?
Do you have a demo I can look at.
BTW, thank you for designing this, we like it very much but don’t like the new upgrade if it isn’t going to work correctly…
Thanks!!!
]]>Hello.
Your plugin is simple and does what it says but I do have a request. Can you please change the way the icons are handled so that the icons do not get overwritten every time there’s a plugin update.
As per your install instructions now:
Optional:
If you want to change the icons please put yours in the images folder and name them exactly like the already existing files.
This results in custom icons being overwritten every time the plugin is updated and I have to re-copy my custom icons back to the folder.
My suggestion is to add an admin panel option where admins can add URLs to their custom icons. Then “IF custom-icons-url EXISTS – Use Custom Icons. IF custom-icons-url EMPTY – Use Default Icons.” That’s a quick and easy way of taking care of it without getting crazy.
