What about being able to subscribe to ALL replies of a scpecific forum (so only one option for the connected user that would let him be notified by email as soon as a new reply is posted).

When posting as anonymous ‘Notify me of follow-up replies via email’ option disapears, even thought its the important one.
(also There should be an option in admin area to keep this ticked by default)

Please make a plugin for this, I am sure it will be a hit.

The current stable version of this plugin is 1.1. If you download it through the WordPress repo you will get version 1.1. However, there is a new beta version 1.2 that you can use and test if you choose. Version 1.2 adds notifications for topic replies and well as some minor fixes.

If you would like to try 1.2 you can grab it from trunk (plugin repo) or download it from GitHub – https://github.com/jaredatch/bbPress-New-Topic-Notifications/zipball/master

If you download 1.2, please report any errors **or** any success here in the support forums.

1.2 should be fairly stable, however I have not had enough people test it for me to push it out to everyone.

Hi,

I have a public forum, protected by Akismet against spam. Because its not a high traffic forum, sometimes I missed new topics for a while if I forgot to check. This plugin works great — it emails me new topics as they come in! However, it emails me even the SPAM topics that come in.

Would it be possible to change the plugin to come after whatever anti-spam voodoo happens, so only new topics that pass the spam filters are sent via email?

This is feature request, I hope this is an alright place for it. I would love to see the ability for forum users to opt-in to receiving notifications for new threads in a specific forum. Any chance of this on the horizon?

This is probably a dumb question. How can I add a link to the outgoing email text? On my forum, if users follow the direct link to the topic, they get a 404, because the forum isn’t public, so they have to login to see it. It would be easier to direct them to the wp-login page rather than the topic, but when I tried that with old-fashioned a href, it came out all weird-looking in the email. I’m missing something obvious, I’m sure.

I’m running the most recent versions of WP and bbPress. For some reason the bbPress New Topic Notifications is not sending email notifications when topics are added.

I have another site that is almost identical, running the same WP version and plugins, and it is working fine (both are with the same host as well). I have been troubleshooting this all day but with no success… aaarrgh!

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
