Author is false advertising, this is for BuddyPress, not BBPress. This does not work if you are only using BBPress. Make sure you read this before downloading!

Only solution I’ve found. This plugin should be higher in Google results and since it works with 3.8 should have the “Compatible upto:” version updated.

I’m also not using buddypress.

Perfect solution for quickly, easily, and elegantly locking down bbPress. I tried all kinds of things before I found this plugin and wish I had found it sooner. Would have saved me HOURS of trial and error. I don’t use buddy-press so for me this plug-in is perfect. The ability to define a URL to redirect unauthorized users is brilliant. Without this plugin I would have had to abandon bbPress as we are hosting secure forums (not paid) and we needed something easy to implement. Great work.

This plug-in was the only way I could find to limit forums to members of my site – I’m not using buddy-press.
