My domain is:
forum.mydomain.com
I have set an static page as Front Page Displays with following short-codes:
Some Welcome text….
[bbp-forum-index]
[bbp-topic-index]
Also I have set an URL to restrict users to redirect if they are not logged in (Under plugin: bbP Members Only).
Now I am facing following issu:
1. If someone visits domain/forum main page first time by entering the URL: forum.mydomain.com, yet they are not redirected to page specified under plugin bbP Members Only
Infect they get following info:
Some Welcome text….
You do not have permission to view this.
You do not have permission to view this.
So they should have redirected to page specified under plugin bbP Members Only. Although if I click on sidebar forums list then they are redirected.
This can be solved out by:
Either redirect to page specified.
Or, this text “You do not have permission to view this.” must display only once.
Please help guys to fix me.
Thanks.
]]>Why would you call this BBPress Members Only? This is BuddyPress Members Only.
]]>Thanks for the plugin.
How can I set the Redirect URL so that it takes the user to the login page and after logging in it redirects them back to the link they initially tried going to?
Basically like the regular wordpress does with
/wp-login.php?redirect_to=xxxxxxxx
Thanks
]]>I turn the ‘plugin BBP Member Only’ in BBPress enabled to prevent that any users logged see the contents of the forum.
But if I use Tapatalk, I can see all the forum, even if the user is not logged.
]]>When I have this plugin enabled, if I try to read the latest posts by RSS Forum, it shows me this error: “You do not have permission to view this feed.”
Example: https://site.com/?feed=rss2&post_type=forum
Is there any option to read by RSS forum, having this plugin enabled?
]]>I’m wondering if this plugin can restrict the access to specific users only, and if so, how? My client wants to have the forum for internal employee use, but they would like to manage it through their WP site. Is this possible?
Thanks!
]]>I find “bbP Members Only” to be a really great plugin.
I’m using the latest version of WordPress and bbPress with a child-theme of Twentytwelve. I was wondering if there’s any way to modify the plugin, so a different navigation bar is loaded into the header once the user logs in?
]]>Does “bbP Members Only” work with a Standalone bbPress Install?
I installed + activated plug-in, but don’t know how to change settings:
Any tips?

All pages on the site now display blank until I deactivate it.

If a non-logged in user tries to access a page within the forum that is private, instead of the 404 error page, with this plugin, they should be redirected to whatever page identified in the settings – yes?
For instance, when a registered user -not logged in, clicks a link in his digest email for a new thread in the forum, instead of getting a 404 because he’s not logged in, with this plugin, he should be directed to the login page which I’ve identified as the redirect page in the settings. However, the 404 page is still what comes up instead of the login page.

]]>I have installed Theme My Login and GDbbPress Tools plugins. My conflict happens when I activate this plugin and the users are shut out from the customized edit profile page generated from Theme My Login. The forums are inaccessible as well. Once I turn off this plugin members are able to see both pages.
Unfortunately I need these two plugins because the offer so much customization from dealing with hiding the true back-end and letting them see skinned interfaces. I also wonder if it has anything to do with Subscriber status vs Forum Participant status as I opt all default registered users for the latter.
