I really like having this quote option available on my forum but it is not worth it if this loading animation is going to keep spinning forever unless you click the quote button on each thread.
Here is what it looks like..
Quotes are Shown Bellow Signature
any ideas?
the plugin does not work
For some reason, whereas this doesn’t happen when Editors or above use the quote button, when Authors or below do it, the markup is written as text rather than activating the markup as it should.
Hi,
Thx for you plugin. It works fine if text area in Text/HTML mode.
In case it is Visual mode (TinyMCE enabled), the quote doesn’t work – text hasn’t been copied to the text area.
Can you fix it please?

Hello,
I would like to develop this plugin further, so it has more functions.
Can I do that or do I need any license for this?

I’ve discovered that this plugin won’t work correctly unless the users’ roles are Editor or above. Anything below that and a bunch of code spews into the UI.
The quick fix is to give the capability publish_pages
to all user roles. I was able to put the following into my theme’s functions.php
file:
$_the_roles = new WP_Roles();
$_the_roles->add_cap('subscriber','publish_pages');
Note that this will give certain roles an extra capability that you may not want them to have.

Since i updated to wordpress 3.5.1 the quotes do not work any more.
It shows the rotating dots next to the button and sends me to the reply field, but that stays empty.
Also multiple quotes might be nice, but thats a feature request ??

I noticed a new issue where the link to the quoted user currently stated as:
https://example.com/members/user_name/
Wherein my bbPress site it should be:
https://example.com/forums/users/user_name/
Not certain if one would use a get_user function and grabbing what structure bbPress is using for its directories.
