I hope this gets a lot of downloads. It’s a nice improvement over the out-of-the-box bbPress widget but I’d like to see it continue development. Feature requests include: Some CSS / display styling controls, thumbnail images, including URL images utilizing the code in the Buddypress Sitewide Activity Widget from Buddydev.

Sorry, I have not tried this widget and should not have reported that it works with WP 3.9.1. I confused it with another one with a similar name.
