I activated the plugin again to make it work in my buddyboss community, but the votes do not appear in the topic, they only appear in the answers, the strange thing as I commented last year is that before they appeared and something happened that they no longer appear,
I could share a link to the website but it is private.
I don’t know how I could solve it

Congrats to your plugin ??
Now…. is there a way not to show voting-buttons on forum-level, only if your in the topic itself? maybe I cant see the tree inside the wood ??

can I use the plugin to vote posts or some other grid elements (like on product hunt)?
Thanks!
]]>This is essentially a feature request, so I should start by saying: Thank you for the free plugin ??
Anyway, I came across what would be a very valuable use case for me:
As an admin, create a topic on which you cannot vote but you can vote on replies. Then add 2 or more replies with possible responses to the opening topic and close the topic to new replies.
If this still allowed voting it would be fantastic for polling users for their attitude to specific requests, rather than inviting all manner of response which would dilute the information, but right now closed topics cannot have their replies voted on.
If there was an option to still allow voting on closed topics it would be very useful (to me anyway!).
If there’s another way to achieve what I want I’d be interested too.
Thanks again
]]>Hi, thanks for the plugin. However when testing ti on Buddyboss it allows a single user to add unlimited up or downvotes which really defies the point of the plugin as this can and will be abused
]]>Hello,
The plugin was working, everything was correct, but I don’t know if it was due to an update or something like that, but the votes stopped working.
They are only shown in the answers to the topics, (attached image)
I tried the solution in the php code, but it didn’t work for me.
It seems strange to me because a few weeks ago everything worked okay
Hello.
First, thanks for a really cool plugin.
I’m looking at the option to show how to reissue karma points in each user’s profile, in which the upvotes of all posts are added and the downvotes are subtracted (as in reddit)
Is there an option to configure this with the plugin?
Also in the portal I use buddyboss and gamipress.
How could I achieve this to synchronize it with an event with gamipress, I read a previous post on the forum that referred to gamipress but I did not understand the process very well.
thanks ??

Hello,
I would like to know if the ability to display both upvotes and downvotes instead of the score is in the pipes. My client really would like a 9gag-like voting system. I could try to modify myself but it seems pretty difficult….
Thank you for your help and your answer!

I need help with BuddyBoss Theme. I want to add the like icon in topic page, after post date. Is this possible to use a shortcode for this ?
Hi, I can display voting on topic replies but not the actual topic..I saw on this forum it was a known issue apparently resolved, but I tried the solution (below) and still doesn’t work, any help appreciated thanks!

(other thread)
The problem was the action hook you use was eliminated from the theme template.
I fixed it by adding this line to my theme/buddyboss-theme-child/bbpress/loop-topic-list.php file on line 5.
“<?php do_action( ‘bbp_theme_before_topic_title’ ); ?> ”
Sorry for the unsupported trouble, but hopefully this will help someone else!

Hi, how do you show list of users who voted for the specific topic?
Thanks.
I cannot get bbpress voting to work on my wordpress page. I have no other plugins installed. The host installed wordpress 5.9.2 and is running php v 8.0. I have tried a few different themes. Is there anything else I can do?
]]>Hi,
thanks for your great work with this Plugin.
I tried adding a page that showed recently added topics which worked fine.
Your plugin worked wonderfully and sorted all topics according to their votes, but of course these should be sorted according to their creation date.
is there a way to switch this function off for individual pages?
First of all: I would like a page that does not have its own forum.
Thanks for your work
Jakob
]]>Hi, great plugin, thank you!
I think the arrows are supposed to turn green/red according to a positive or negative score, but mine stay grey.
Can you help? The link is an example topic on a staging site.
Many thanks!
]]>When used with BuddyPress, voting activities show up in BuddyPress’ public activity feed, even for private forums. That publicly reveals information (topic title and URL) that should remain private.
Is there a way to turn off voting activities altogether until this issue gets fixed?
Note: this was observed when using bbPress Voting along with BuddyBoss Platform, an active fork of BuddyPress+bbPress. Can anyone confirm whether the same problem arises on a native BuddyPress+bbPress setup?
]]>This looks wonderful, but it only seems to work for replies and not for topics when used with BuddyBoss. I have ensured that the checkbox is not checked for disable for topics. Can you confirm if this is a problem with the plugin or with my setup?

Hi
Thank you for this useful plugin. I installed it today on a test project and it works mostly well. Am exploring more.
Meanwhile, observed that it allows me to vote my own forum post and replies. Is this an intended behaviour? If it is, is there a way I can suppress/override it? Basically, for my project, it is unsuitable for an author to vote on own posts.
Best
Vy
PS: I am running this on BuddyBoss Platform, with integrated bbPress and your basic plugin (not Pro) – all latest versions.
Hi,
So the question has everything really. But I want to show the total number of upvotes a person has received and I want to put that number near the name. I have access to the backend, so I was thinking maybe I could get the number of upvotes from the database and put that number next to the name. Any help would be great!
Thanks in advance!

Sort replies on a topic using their voting scores? I just want to keep original post order (the newest at the bottom). The top voted at the top

Hi there,
I am thinking of buying this plugin I have a few questions before I do which I hope you can answer. Apologies if this is the wrong place to ask!
1) I have downloaded the free version and the upvoting features are quite large on my BBpress forum topic replies, is there a way to decrease this on the ‘pro’ version?
2) Is there an option to customize the icon of the upvotes?
3) I have the replies coded to be posted above the one before it and I am hoping this plugin can re-order the replies to ‘most upvoted’ too and provide a drop down menu that users can select if they want the ‘most recent’ replies posted first (from my code) or if they want the ‘most upvoted’ replies first. Would this plugin still work? So if it set to most upvoted comment then it would ignore my code and show the most upvoted at the top? And also does this have that drop-down menu?
4) Carrying on from the question above, when ‘most upvoted’ is selected, if the user then posts a comment, where does this go on the page? At the top with no upvotes and then when the page is refreshed it goes to the bottom?
5) I don’t require the other features of the ‘pro’ version such as the accept button so are these easily disabled? I only require the weighting of the comments and the ability to sort the comments based on said weighting.
Let me know if you do not understand/need a bit more info!
Thank you
