Hi Pascal,
Hope you are well and hope you can help.
I’ve been having issues with my site which required me to do the deactivate plugins routine. It appears that there are issues with my version of bbP manage subscriptions
V 1.2.0 (I’m also running V 1.0.7 of bbp toolkit).
When I reactivate manage subscriptions I get the following message in my dashboard:
“The plugin generated 286 characters of unexpected output during activation. If you notice “headers already sent” messages, problems with syndication feeds or other issues, try deactivating or removing this plugin.”
I have therefor had to deactivate the plugin.
I must say that even with your plugin deactivated I still have an issue with another plugin, EntryWizard, which is a separate issue.
The only clue I have is that my host states that there has been, in last couple of days, an update to Apache which could be causing problems.
Site is https://www.conwycameraclub.co.uk
I hope you can help as I use Manage Subscriptions to control what the flock are doing/seeing.
Cheers,
Eugene.
Hello,
I really like you plugins and we use several of them. It looks like bbPress Manage Subscriptions could use a bit of cleanup to make it fully compatible with the latest versions of the WP core. We are seeing error message like the following in our log (thousands of these are logged each day) –
Today 09:02:51 GMT-0500 (Eastern Standard Time)
Declaration of bbPMS_List_Table::get_sortable_columns() should be compatible with WP_List_Table::get_sortable_columns()
Type: PHP Strict Standards Line: 180
File: /home/nonefdcl/public_html/wp-content/plugins/bbp-manage-subscriptions/bbp-manage-subscriptions.php
and
Today 09:02:48 GMT-0500 (Eastern Standard Time)
has_cap was called with an argument that is deprecated since version 2.0.0! Usage of user levels by plugins and themes is deprecated. Use roles and capabilities instead.
Type: PHP Notice Line: 3975
File: /home/nonefdcl/public_html/wp-includes/functions.php
I would be much appreciated if you could update bbPress Manage Subscriptions to eliminate these log entries.

]]>I’ve just installed this plugin on my dev instance, and I’m getting this warning in the admin:
Strict standards: Declaration of bbPMS_List_Table::get_sortable_columns() should be compatible with WP_List_Table::get_sortable_columns() in /var/www/wp-content/plugins/bbp-manage-subscriptions/bbp-manage-subscriptions.php on line 180
I removed the strict setting in error_reporting:
error_reporting = E_ALL & ~E_DEPRECATED & ~E_STRICT
Now getting 22527 in phpinfo() (used to be -1). But the error is still appearing. ??
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
– AAA
Hi,
I used the bbP manage S to unsubscribe a user of our forum from all topics. They are still receiving notifications though. I am also using the following BBPress add-on plugins:
AsynCRONous bbPress Subscriptions
bbP Toolkit
Bbpress Login Register Links On Forum Topic Pages
topic subscribe
Any ideas?
]]>I went into a user profile and un-ticked the box for a private forum that this user previously had permission to view.
However, when going into Manage Subscriptions, the user still appears as having permissions to that group, i.e. Green isMember button is still there for the user.
Any idea what might be going on with this?
]]>When a new message is posted to a forum that a user is subscribed to, the user is not automatically subscribed to each new reply. Is three a way to subscribe a user so that they receive all replies to topics posted in a forum?
]]>Hi,
Love the concept of this plugin. It could be very useful. But, my site has about 500 users and I only want about 50 of them in various private forums. I have created the forums and put the users in groups. I would simply like to subscribe all users in a group to their forum so I don’t have to depend on them doing it.
This would be much simpler if I could filter the view to show just users in a particular group.
Additionally, sometimes it is nice to do a search for a single user.
These features would be awesome. Thanks! Bryan
]]>Is this feature near release?
Also it would be nice to show more than 10 users at a time.
Thanks,
William
Hi, im having this issue, if i select “settings” menu i can see the options and play with them.
But when i want to suscribe my users to a forum nothing appears, all i see is a “blank” page. Here is a picture:

Nw that I have been with this a bit, it would be helpful to also have a way to select subscriptions for all the forums for just a particular user…
Thanks again for all your great efforts that are making bbPress better and better…

]]>I am fairly new to WordPress and bbPress. I had a lot of issues setting up my forums and it turned out to be a host of unrelated issues from theme issues to css issues and a php file problem. I also installed this plug-in and although it worked well, it did not remove the Oh Bother! message that many have asked about.
I got great support from the plug-in author who suggested some custom code to help me. I was about to attempt the recommended change when I saw that an update to the plug-in had been released. I installed the update and all now seems to be working correctly. The Oh Bother text can be modified and I now have the ability to remove it completely.
Thank you for all your help and for providing such a useful plug-in. I think a lot of WordPress users will find this helpful.
]]>– Keep folder name ‘bbp-manage-subscriptions’ under your plugins as it’s hardcoded (will be changed soon)
]]>Hi Pascal – great plugin, love it.
I tried running it with private groups but would have expected the private group to appear in the horizontal row, not the vertical column. That way I can switch every user in the group to be subscribed to a forum in one click… if that’s how it works.
A ‘select all users’ tick box would save a lot of time too.
