Hi LeninLee
Big respect. Now I got into some trouble and need to remove ALL categories from my posts and than add what is now tag as a category to my posts. Is it possible to do this with your plugin?
Your plugin is fast, but I have 20,000 posts – is there a way to drop ALL 20,000 posts from all 400 categories I have?
And than I could try to use plugin tags to cats to make new categories from my current tags?
I would appreciate your help.

PHP Notice: has_cap was called with an argument that is deprecated since version 2.0! Usage of user levels by plugins and themes is deprecated. Use roles and capabilities instead.
This is due to line 7 in admin.php. Please fix it.

Hi
I’ve just installed and activated Batch Cat but it doesn’t seem to work.
I installed in wp-content/plugins via ftp. The folder permissions are set to 755.
I assume you must select at least one post and one category in order to make a change. I’ve tried that and nothing happens when I click either ‘set categories to posts’ (whatever that means) or ‘add categories to posts’.
Each panel (posts and categories) has a check box at the top of the list which I assume you check if you wish to select all of the list? So I tried that and the individual check boxes for the items in the list do not become checked and again nothing happens when I click set or add to categories.
Thanks
Kevin
Thank you very much for this wonderful plugin! It’s been very helpful in moving an existing blog into WordPress.
My next obstacle will be adding Tags. Is there any chance you’ve considered a similar plugin for working with Tags? I haven’t yet been able to find anything useful, and the system you use for handling Categories would be just perfect.
Thanks again for Batch Cat!
I have been using this great plugin to batch update the categories of my posts. But since upgrading to WP 3.1, this plugin no longer works. When I select the posts to update, I keep getting the error message :
“Please select at least one post !”
But I have selected at least one post to update but it doesn’t recognise it.
This plugin does just what I need however it does not retain the current category that a post is a member of. I would like to have the plugin add the selected posts to the selected category without needing to re-select all of the categories that the post is currently in. I have thousands of posts with several categories; this would make life much easier. Is this possible? Any idea how to hack to plugin to do this?
This doesn’t work at all in WordPress 2.8.4. It doesn’t select all the posts (you have to select them manually) and the “Submit” button doesn’t even work.
Broken from top to bottom.
