I don’t know why I’m getting this, the support forums have no answer, and the “plugin webpage” is just a “Buy Now” page. Is this plugin supported and why can’t I access Dropbox.

I think this is the last functionality missing to make it a great plug-in… flexibility.

I’ve installed this plug in, yet when I try to run the job, I get a message that says: Not Expected HTTP Response.
It includes grey highlighted information below that error message like:
Status-Code 429
Content-type text/html; charset=utf-8
Retry-after 5
Content-length 1281
etc….
Can you advise what this error means, and what I need to do to remedy it so I can back up my site?
I have chosen to back it up in a folder on my laptop.

we get the error: “Du hast nicht die erforderlichen Rechte, um auf diese Seite zuzugreifen.”
The plugin had worked before without errors for several months. I supposed that the data limit had been exceeded. So, I deleted some older backups to reduce the data, but also database backups end up with the a.m. error.

I mean date as in the first column in the WP backup dashboard: there’s 4 columns (backups completed – Size – Type – Actions), under the first one there’s no information. I use your plugin on other sites (same host) and it workes fine but mine isn’t; any tips?

currently testing WP Backup for my vServer. After install the following error arised:
WP Backup has detected a problem. wp-cron.php is returning a error:140770FC:SSL routines:SSL23_GET_SERVER_HELLO:unknown protocol
The site ist running HTTPS Protocol. Is it possible that there is conflict with a firewall rule? Cannot imagine that HTTPS is the problem.
Currently the plugin is disabled.

I am guessing that these are the backup of the web site beyond the database.

I turned off the backup jobs and then uninstalled the plug-in from my WordPress instance, but it is still performing the backup and sending emails.
I assume it created a cron job that I need to somehow stop/remove? Is that correct?

I’ve used the plugin with success and a few different sites. However, on one particular site, the “complete” backup is not working. Even when I click to run the backup, it spins and spins and spins and spins and never completes. I’ve tried your suggestion of deactivating the plugin, then reactivating it – – no change.

]]>I like the simple nature of this plug-in I do not need to much bell’s a whistles to do development.
I white Screened a clients site last night updating to the 4.2.1 version. I went and selected the last know working Complete Backup and tried to Restore site using lug-in. It reconnects to a error screen inside the admin area.
However I had to reload the site from FTP and I cannot modify the Excludes Files. This would help to have this fixed as well.
Any updates would be great.

]]>Hi, I have just installed and activated WP Backup for the first time and run a backup. I used the Dropbox link. The backup seems to have worked as I have received an email from the bot confirming that it is too big to attach to the email. However, the website and wp-admin have both now disappeared.

I am looking at a website that needs some maintenance and noticed that the WordPress version needed to be updated so I wanted to do a backup of the website prior to making any changes.
I installed your software around 2 years ago and noticed that the scheduled backups had not been done in some time.
On further investigation, I found that the plugin needed to be activated and unfortunately, I came across the following error message when I attempted to activate it:
Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

I can’t get the plugin to respect this setting even though I have set this in wp-config.php:

It still shows the runtime as 11pm in the backups list as seen in the screenshot.

]]>I tried to add my dropbox account in the settings, but I noticed too late, that I currently was logged in with another dropbox-account. I logged off dropbox and opened my own dropbox account and tried to set it once again, but it allways sets at account-info the wrong name and Emailadress. I deleted this plugin and installed again, but nevertheless it sets the wrong name and email at account-info. What can I do?

First of all, I love the simplicity and quality of your backup program. So many others are full of bloat and ads and it’s very nice to use one that is efficient.
I am unfortunuately having an issue however. The scheduled backups are no longer working. They were working fine, but seemed to stop approximately in October. They appear to work fine if i run them manually, however neither database or complete backups work on a schedule. The only other weird thing I have noticed is that sometimes it runs a backup as soon as i load the settings area of the program….as in, it runs the backup (maybe the one i had scheduled) as soon as i view the settings page.
I am on shared hosting and am using the “X” wordpress theme. I have not enabled the dropbox feature.
