Thank you for working on this plugin and considering it for core in WP 4.7+. I’ve been hoping for a solution to allow me to crop a specific section of very large images to use as a background on pages or sections – and as long as this one doesn’t remove or overwrite the original image file, it will make it easy to use multiple cropped sections from the same source image throughout different sections of my site.
I’m very grateful and hopeful for this plugin!
