The plugin is good under PHP 7.4, but we had to update the dedicated servers’ PHP to 8.0. As a result, in every instance where a hosted website had this plugin installed, errors are thrown. Therefore we had to disable it globally.
Example: Warning: Trying to access array offset on value of type bool in /home/domain/public_html/wp-content/plugins/autoclear-autoptimize-cache/autoclear-autoptimize-cache.php on line 236
I found that it conflicts with all recent versions of LayerSlider (tested 7.6.1 through 7.6.8). When Autoclear Autoptimize Cache is disabled, all PHP warnings cease when installed alongside LayerSlider.
]]>Plugin is working fine, unless when we setup the limit at 1 giga. Blocks at 739.68 Mega and we need to manually wipe the cache. Or we put the automatic limit at 764, but that cleans the files cache every hour (high traffic). If you can have a look… Thank you ??
]]>hello, thanks for making this useful plugin, my question is how can I set custom cache size delete?
]]>Hello John,
It’s a promising plugin, however we noticed on our websites built on BeTheme, the website always keeps on reloading/flickering, while this seems not the case so far when using Salient as a Theme…
Any idea if there can be released an update/fix to make it compatible to BeTheme, so we can activated the plugin again in those cases…?
Thanks!
]]>So, I got the plugin’s Maximum cache file size
set to 512MB.
It cleared cache after it hit that limit today but it stopped working any time after that.
Any help will be appreciated.

I discovered the plugin is generating requests back to the server which ends up in error 404.
Any trick to solve this ?

Hi for some reason the plugin has added a “settings” link to all the plugins on the plugin list that direct you to the “Autoclear Autoptimize Cache” settings page????
]]>It doesn’t work. It’s not clearing AO cache.
Also if the plugin is active, trying to click settings of other plugin redirects to another page ( https://prnt.sc/uzu2s1 ).
OK I do not need an actuall help with the plugin. Instead I am offering help.
For people that pages are reloading:
Just go to the settings page and make sure that you set any “maxiumum cache size”
Autoptimize cleaner gets triggered in some env’s because it gets an null value.
It worked before probablly becasue the php versions weren’t this strict.
latest version of WordPress
WP_DEBUG is on (so I can see any notices)
I’m getting this NOTICE
Notice: Trying to access array offset on value of type bool in /var/www/fresh.localpi/htdocs/wp-content/plugins/autoclear-autoptimize-cache/autoclear-autoptimize-cache.php on line 226
]]>I noticed that it says on your roadmap that you work on a time based version to clear cache. The time based function would help me a lot and would provide your plugin great value. I would like to offer you some help to speed up your progress but coding is not my strength at all. I could help you translate your plugin to German. Does this sound like a good deal for you?
]]>I still have this letter every day. Settings is 1 GB.
Autoptimize’s cache size is getting big, consider purging the cache.
Have had to disable the plugin as it seems to constantly refresh pages on my site that are using wow.js.
Perhaps there’s some sort of conflict between the two?
Hello,
Last week, I activated the Autoclear Autoptimize Cache plugin on my website. Upon activation, wp-admin became unresponsive. The front-end of the website was also unresponsive. The website is hosted on Pantheon, and the crash was resolved upon removal of the Autoclear Autoptimize Cache plugin via Pantheon dashboard.
Looking through my server logs at the time of the crash, I found that ~150 requests were made to ao_speedup_cachebuster
within a few minutes. I reached out to Autoptimize support for information on what the ao_speedup_cachebuster
request does, but I am hoping you can provide further insight.
Can you help me understand why the plugin caused an influx of requests to ao_speedup_cachebuster
? Could this influx of requests have caused the site to become unresponsive until the plugin was removed?
Thanks!

]]>Hi!
I just installed this plugin and as soon as I activated it the whole WP backend was reloading and reloading and reloading … and … to infinity.
It’s probably an issue in combination with another plugin.
I can’t tell you which one =/
Here is the list of all installed plugins ? https://cdn.pbrd.co/images/HMQCXRM.png
It could also be one of my code snippets ˉ\_(ツ)_/ˉ

Hi there, I’ve noticed that the max. cache file size is either 128mb, 512mb, 764mb or 1 gb. Is it possible to set it to be less than 128mb? Let’s say 12mb? Let me know, thanks!
