it was working fine. but sudden no text to export with photos.. it send only the photo without any hashtag or description.
I tried to change many setting bit no way..
need help.

I have been using this plugin for quite a while and noticed that it stopped working sometime last year. When I post, I get an unusual login activity notification on Instagram and the post never gets published on Instagram. I enabled the debug in the plugin settings, but I do not know where to view that information.

Is there a fix for this?

I tried the first time this year to post with version 1.5.0 of the plugin to Instagram and get this error message in a plain browser window:

Something went wrong while connecting to instagram: InstagramAPI\Response\LoginResponse: Challenge required.

When I logged in to Instagram manually I was asked if it was me that has connected to Instagram (in reality it was my web server hosted by 1&1 in Karlsruhe), but I confirmed with Yes. Also I got a security code from Instagram by mail to confirm that it’s me (what I did).
Next I tried again to actualize my blog article and posting to Instagram, same error. Again and again.

I’m in this loop since days and tried many a time, but Instagram isn’t learning that it’s okay when my hosting server posts to Instagram. What can I do?

First I want to thank the creator of the Plugin. It is amazing. Very practical. so usefull!

I wanted to suggest two new features: automatic publishing also when the post is scheduled. In the tests I’m doing with two sites, if the post does not go up immediately, publishing by scheduling does not create the post on Instagram.

The second is the use of excerpt (or the first paragraph of the post) as description (or text) of the post in Instagram …

I noticed some bugs too: even if the name of the author does not appear, it is published in Instagram.

Even though the title words are not used as hashtags, they do have hashtags.

The inclusion of fixed topics (hashtags, description, etc.) in the configuration area has no effect at the time of publication.

Resizing image does not always work. Often Instagram refuses formats.

There is indeed a problem with the exif … If active, the refusal rate for posts is higher.

I was trying out your plugin and in the settings it has a checkbox for products. I’ve had to add code so WooCommerce will change to Gutenberg vs the old editor, because I can see on a Gutenberg post the little checkbox, but not in WooCommerce. Since I’ve made the changes so the WooCommerce Products page is Gutenberg I don’t see the little checkbox to send it to instagram. Does this not work with WooCommerce or does it work with a different shopping cart. Thank you.

I was hoping to request a new feature that strips the words in the post title into additional hashtags.

For example if the post title is “The Lazy Brown Dog” then as additional hashtags it adds “#the #lazy #brown #dog”

Hi, I just tested your plugin, and every time I saved a post, I got shown the long instagram JSON response, which forbid sending header redirect.

Turned out the way how debug mode is resolved has an issue – when you save the settings, the wp2instagram_debug key is either “Y” if debug turned on, or null if turned off.

This is then incorrectly resolved in wp2instagram.php on line #811 – sets $debug_mode to ”, which is then converted to ‘Y’ on line #815.

I fixed it by changing line #811 to $debug_mode = ‘N’;

Would be great to have this fix incorporated so we can just update and don’t have to have plugin locally modified. Otherwise your plugin works nicely, thanks for it.

I have seen many previous posts about scheduled posts not working, but if you edit the post and just press “update” it then posts the image.

I have the same problem and was wondering if there was a fix?
