I use it since 2 years for an Intranet an it work fine.
I was afraid it was broken for WP 6.0 but, it is something else who went wrong in my functions.php
Tested with success on Wordpres 6.0

Very flexible plugin, stable codebase, excellent documentation. I especially like the clean configuration interface, which enables me to set the LDAP search filters easily. Plus, you don’t really have to do much – the default settings are what you need when authenticating against an openLDAP instance.

This plugin is the only one in WP.org which works out of the box, it’s super easy to set up and even has user group mapping included. Thanks once again and totally recommended to every one.

Does it’s job well and is updated regularly. Highly recommended. I’m using it with Active Directory and it works great.

Binds to LDAP and auto maps AD groups to WordPress roles, exactly what I was looking for. Developer is a super nice guy, and always got back to me the same day I reached out with questions.

It works!

ldap is obtuse. ldap plugins can be even more so. of all the ldap plugins for WP this is the only one i could get to work. relatively simple to use. documentation could be a little clearer, but i figured it out.
there is a local u:p failover to wp DB, which is VERY nice. but for my purposes I wish it was a configurable option to enable/disable. i don’t want a broken ldap auth to failover to local space silently. i’d rather the auth break all together so that i can fix it the right way.

Actively supported. Author is quick to respond to issues or evaluate suggestions. Development on Github.
Most importantly, it works, and works well.

I also tried a half dozen plugins to find one that would simply let me connect to LDAP without a lot of niceties. This plugin works great. Many of the other plugins out there don’t seem to be supported any more, some of them are very specific to a specific LDAP schema (like AD). So some things like login will work but groups will not.
This plugin, on the other hand, seems like it should be suitable for any LDAP. The cost of that is one must know LDAP. If you aren’t good with LDAP, this probably isn’t the best plugin for you and it might feel somehow like it doesn’t work or is insufficient.
I’d really be surprised to find any problems here with any LDAP. Mine is 389-DS on FreeIPA, by the way.

…the only LDAP plugin that worked with WP 4.x out of the box (tested half a dozen of them). Superfast and competent support by Andreas Heigl. Very flexible to support various use cases and still with an easy UI. Top class plugin!

I’ve searched for a nice and easy ldap-support plugin with all advanced features and finally found it.
It allows you to manage the used querys, maps group members to WP roles and so on.
Nice one!
