Hi,
Is there a way to make the AStickyPostOrderER plugin compatible with the PHP 7.2? Otherwise I cannot update my website’s PHP because the plugin is Producing an error and making the website crash.
I don’t want to deactivate the plugin and have it mess up my categories and tags of posts.
Thank you for your help.
I would like AStickyPostOrderER to be available for Editor roles, but I am not sure which capabilities to add to that role. Anyone attempt this yet?

]]>Hey all,
This plug in is amazing. My question is, when I change the style of my stickies via the css (using a .sticky in the style.css) it only changes the way the stickies look on the home page – their style remains unchanged on the category page (although the widget is working and pushing the posts to the top of the category pages)
I used this version of the plug in, as the original failed for the latest wordpress – https://www.q2w3.ru/2011/02/25/3234/
Any clues?
Cheers

]]>Hi,
I am hoping your plugin will help me solve a lot of my problems…
When i click on a category on the left navigation: for example Health and Beauty then Hair and Makeup, this then displays all the posts under the category for Hair and Makeup.
Thats fine, however what I need to be able to do is order them, like Gold, Silver and Bronze. All the posts with gold will appear at the top, followed by Silver in 2nd and finally bronze!
I need to do this because users will be paying for advertisement slots, and someone paying top wack for a gold package won’t want to see someone with a bronze package above them in the post lists!
So basically you buy a gold package ad, your sorted/filtered at the top, sliver your 2nd and so on?
Its just filtering and sorting the results in a specific way.
Would the plugin be able to do this? And how?
Really Hope you can help,
Thanks,
Paul
Upgraded to WP 3.1 and created 2 new subsites. The admin area was fine, but the homepage showed no posts, and all new pages created gave a 404 error when viewing them. Changing permalinks to the default…no help. Thanks to other posts on this forum I deactivated all plugins and the problem was solved! Then I slowly reactivated them one by one until the site broke again. The problem plugin was A Sticky Post Orderer.
]]>Hello,
I found this plugin VERY useful but it doesn’t work with 3.1.
Will there be an update for WP 3.1 ?
THANKS to let us know!!

Here is temporary unofficial fix
With it help you can reanimate AStickyPostOrderER.
Not all problems are fixed yet, only the main ones…
]]>I am using Google Feedburner subscribe box on my blog. When readers subscribe, they automatically receive all my new posts via email.
The problem with astickypostorderer is that when I change the order of an old post, for example from 15th place to 14th place, Feedburner considers it as a new post and sends an email to all my subscribers, treating this old post as new.
It is very frustrating. I would like to be able to change my posts around without my readers being notified each and every time.
Please help.

does this function OK with 3.01 ?
]]>Hello,
This plugin installs perfectly but breaks my custom query for posts from an other blog in my WordPress 3 Network setup.
Here is the code I use to retrieve the latest post from blog number 2 :
Functions.php
function get_latest_blogpost_wpnetwork($blog_id,$show){
wp_reset_query();
switch_to_blog($blog_id);
global $post;?>
<?php $my_query = new WP_Query('showposts='.$show.'&order=DSC');
while ($my_query->have_posts()) : $my_query->the_post();
$do_not_duplicate = $post->ID; ?>
<?php endwhile; ?>
<?php restore_current_blog();
}
Index.php
`<?php
echo get_latest_blogpost_wpnetwork(‘2′,’1’);
?>`
Does anybody know why AStickyPostOrderER would break this?
The page doesn’t show any errors, it just displays without said post.
I would really appreciate your help with this.
Thanks,
C.
Hi Andre –
Great plugin overall, but I’ve run into a small usability problem with it. When you go to edit the order of posts in a particular category, the interface displays posts which are in the trash right alongside posts which aren’t. There’s no indication what are trashed posts and what aren’t. This is causing some confusion with my end users.
I’d suggest either not displaying trashed posts, or if you do want to display them for some reason, give them a different style—grayed out or something to that effect. Perhaps set up an option to switch between the two possibilities.
Thanks!
]]>I have categories with up to 40 posts that are sorted and I only need the first 20 sorted. How can I remove the rest of the posts from the sorted section?
I’m using wordpress version 3.0 and the plugin is up-to-date.
