Hey there,
Just got an notification about the webhost about a vulnerability in the plugin.
WordPress Amr Shortcode Any Widget plugin <= 4.0 – Contributor+ Stored XSS vulnerability
Any chance for an update?
]]>Hey anmari,
I have come across a couple of forum topics lately that are about needing to change shortcodes, either for exporting content with galleries using the correct new IDs or switching to a new plugin with a different shortcode or wanting to update legacy content to look more like blocks (again with the galleries).
What people seem to need is a plugin that can find all their shortcodes and either expand them to HTML to replace the shortcode or change the name of the shortcode. I know the name change can be done with a Search/Replace plugin, but getting the parameters all correct wouldn’t really be something to do manually. I’m not sure about the galleries using IDs that change when importing to another site…
Anyway, this content manipulation aspect seemed like a natural extension for this plugin that already deals with all the shortcodes.

Hi, if I can’t find shortcode in tab Posts and Pages using shortcodes it’s very possible that the shortcode is not in use, right?
]]>Hey anmari,
I love this plugin. I was thinking of writing something like this a few years ago, but never did. I wondered if you had considered expanding it a bit to include a meta box on the post editor page to make it easier for users to know which shortcodes are available to put in their posts (so, all the registered shortcodes plus built-ins). I thought of writing that one too, but haven’t! I thought it might be in the feature plugin Shortcake, but when I suggested it, they didn’t like doing anything different from what they already had in mind.
Food for thought…
