Amelia is a great plugin because you have appointments and events in one. My customer needed sync with outlook, bookkeeping exact, appointments for coaching, events for eduction, notification system, easy adaptable to there needings user interface frontend. And guess what Amelia has it all!

I strongly urge the developers to address these issues promptly, ensuring that the plugin can coexist with WordPress’s native elements without causing conflicts. Until these problems are resolved, I cannot recommend using this plugin, especially for sites where consistent and reliable admin access is critical.

I have been using the Amelia booking plugin for a while and it has been working well for scheduling – I like the options the plugin has for employees, working hours, services offered, and integrations with 3rd party platforms (I use Stripe and Zoom).
Recently I have had issues with the Zoom integration, the support I received was amazing – really impressed with the team and hugely grateful for the support!

Have just started using Ameila with Stripe in my website, at the configuration stage. There seems to be lots of functionality which can be configured as you would like. Works well with Stripe payments when testing. Support is good and responsive (would like option to book a call though as that could cover a number of tickerts in one go rather than submitting individually). So far, so good.

I tried the free version first (it came with my theme). Then I bought the premium version ( I can have it on 5 websites) and I have it on 3 websites to date. The support is excellent. I have been impressed with the depth of this plugin from day one and I’m building my digital assets around this plugin. I have spent time with the documentation, which is very detailed ( I build websites-my plan is to build environments where I and other independent contractors can work remotely and virtually) and this is very important. It takes time to set up an online business that is fully functional and supports my business objectives. Ameila makes this possible. It is the best booking plugin to date. Keep up the good work!

Amelia is undoubtedly a solid development with a lot of potential, but it still feels like it’s in a somewhat adolescent phase. While it’s a powerful tool, there are several areas that could use improvement, especially for Spanish-speaking users. The translations are quite poor, and you’re almost required to use plugins like Loco Translate to customize many elements. Additionally, the integration and workflows with WordPress leave something to be desired.
One of the aspects that continues to frustrate me is the client registration experience. The process doesn’t allow clients to input their information until after completing the purchase, when they receive an activation email with a link. This flow feels clunky, and the checkout screen isn’t clear enough in guiding users on what to do next—whether they should go to their dashboard to schedule appointments for packages, or follow through with creating a password. It’s messy, and although we’ve managed to work around it, there’s definitely room for major improvements here.
Another major issue I’ve encountered is the integration with WooCommerce. Amelia simply redirects the client to the WooCommerce checkout page, and while WooCommerce has a robust API, there is a clear lack of a more organic integration for the payment process. For countries that don’t use international payment methods, you’re left with no choice but to rely on WooCommerce, and the transition between Amelia and WooCommerce feels abrupt and disjointed. There’s a significant opportunity here to make the integration smoother.
Additionally, everything seems to require some form of page loading, saving, and refreshing. This makes me wonder if it’s worth building such a system on a platform like WordPress, which relies on PHP servers. This inevitably depends on the client’s budget, but it’s something to keep in mind.
The main challenge I’ve encountered is that configuring Amelia requires heavy reliance on the documentation and tutorial videos. However, the documentation isn’t always titled in a way that makes things easy to find, which led to some confusion on my part.
That said, the support team has been absolutely incredible. They’ve been there every step of the way to help configure everything I needed. However, Amelia still feels like it’s in its early stages, and there’s a lot of room for improvement—especially from a UX perspective in 2024.

I’ve been using Amelia for the past year or so and overall I’m very pleased. As a non-tech person I have been able to follow the instructions provided and do everything I’ve needed to do myself. Those times where I’ve needed some help, the customer service has been excellent. It has good integrations built in so I’m able to automate most tasks I need. It’s working quite well for me.
