Is it possible to do image alt text from the shortcode?

I have a template setup for displaying just an image with a link and want to be able to set custom alt text for each image rather then using alt= inside the template

The widget is formatted differently and doesn’t fit into the website because:

– The whole widget container doesn’t include the .widget CSS class.
– The widget title isn’t wrapped in a p tag with the .widget-title CSS class.
– The widget title is placed outside the widget container and isn’t wrapped by any HTML tag

Those are WordPress default classes which make sure all widget have the same formatting, e.g. same widget title font size and font weight etc.

Would be great if you can fix this.

After updating to the newest version the sidebar widget displays HTML code rather than the rendered template, see https://i.imgur.com/u8cUpxD.png

It’s set to the template flat_box_vertical_de but I also tried different templates, none work. When using the template test function in the backend the template displays correctly.

I am trying to test your ASA1 plugin for a new Amazon niche site I’m building.
Unfortunately, when I enter my API keys, I get this message :

Error: Error calling PA-API 5.0! HTTP Status Code: 401 Error Type: InvalidSignature Error Message: The request has not been correctly signed. If you are using an AWS SDK, requests are signed for you automatically; otherwise, go to https://webservices.amazon.fr/paapi5/documentation/sending-request.html#signing.

Note that this error appears only in localhost, but it connects well on my other WordPress that is online.

I read other related topics, but you said it was caused by the Amazon account (less than 3 sales, or wrong keys). This is not a problem with my Amazon Affiliate account, because I already have many sales, and my keys are working in another similar plugin (Auto Amazon Links), even in localhost mode.

Please help me with this problem, because your plugin seems to meet my needs.
And I’d like to begin with ASA1 before buying ASA2 later…

Regardless of which ad display template I use, the star ratings always show up as 0 reviews, no stars. I have just updated the plugin and the issue persists. The link provided is an example of my use (the amazon links in the article are from this plugin.)

I did do some minor editing to the template, but even with the default settings/default template(s) it still always shows 0 stars for every product.

Any way to fix this?

Would be nice if we could add multiple ASINs w/ copy & pasted from a text file it saves a bunch of time compared to entering ASINs one at a time.

A .csv option for import/export would be nice too. XML is not as easy to work with for most folks. Cool plugin, thanks.

Hi, I want to try ASA1 on my homepage which is already using Amazon Affiliate Links. In the tab API Setup I’m told to create an Amazon AWS account. AWS includes fee-based services, so what kind of services are used by the ASA1 plugin and how much will that cost in the end?

Die verlinkte FAQ hab ich gelesen, wundere mich aber eben, dass es schon zu viele Requests sind, obwohl ich noch gar nichts gemacht hab ??

I just try to work with this plugin, but all outgoing affiliate links to amazon are with target=”_blank” rel=”nofollow noopener noreferrer”>
The noopener and norefferer eliminates the affiliate provision because the tracking is blocked from wordpress. How can I change the target to self instead of blank in this plugin?

There is a problem in your plugin that conflicts with other plugins loading guzzle. You have 2 folders in the vendor folder one called asaguzzlehttp and one called guzzlehttp. Both these versions have the same namespace which is AsaGuzzleHttp. This incorrect as the autoloader will look for GuzzleHttp namespace in your vendor folder and won’t find it.

The fix is to remove the main guzzlehttp folder, or load it without modification. Also please update the autoload.php file.

Hi, I’m trying to use {$ListPriceFormatted} and {$PercentageSaved} to show the list price, and finally {$AmazonPriceFormatted} as the final price.

It works well if there is a sale on an item.

But if the item is not on sale, the placeholders still result in an output. Just dashes.

Is there a way to hide the output of these placeholders if there is no sale on an item?

I’ve been using AmazonSimpleAdmin for years. Functionally, it’s worked well, but I’m now redeveloping my website, and I want to tweak the template for my books. Basically, the border is way too close to the content, making the book covers look squashed against the top-left corner. I can’t find a template customisation for this, and it’s affecting the look. Am I missing something? Is this something that can be customised?

I don’t have tons of products, just a few books, but they do refer a reasonable amount of purchases. I want them to look as good as the rest of my new site.

I have created a custom template for textlinks to amazon products, which I want to show within my texts. In pages this is working fine, as expected.

However, in blog posts the same short code gets a closing </p> tag before it and an opening <p> tag after it, so that my textlink, which is supposed to be in the same line as its surrounding text is now in a separate line.

How can I make this work in blogposts, too, to keep the shortcode output in line with the surrounding text?

Hi Timo,

due to the discontinuation of the API4 and the official Amazon Associates Link Builder plugin, I am currently in the process of migrating all my links to ASA1.

As I haven’t had any sales via PA-API5 yet, the number of requests is throttled by Amazon (10 per minute? idk).

On my pages I have various products with several different templates, which in total exceed the limit of requests. So I thought, I would cache each product individually first, keep the cache for a number of days and have my overview page only use the cache instead of the PA-API. So I made a page with only one product in it, and replaced the ASIN after each page load. This way, all the products now are stored in the cache folder.

However, although all ASINs are stored in the cache, I still get Error 429 for most of them. It seems that ASA1 is not fetching them from the cache but still tries to get them from the API.

Do I miss any setting maybe?

in ASA1 in the test section I tried to test the “demo” template… but every ASIN I entered results in an empty rating. When I switch from template mode to rating mode I get the following output:
