Hi, I must say its a very good plugin for amazon associates insertion into the post. but it disables the visual menubar of the contributors add new post page.

Hi,

I have extended the plugin to support the region ‘Amazon Auto’ as a new region at admin and widgit level.

This uses the ‘region detect’ plugin to determine the actual region to use when a user accesses the widgit.

e.g. I can have an Amazon item for sale and have a single widget on my site point to the user’s local amazon site (if it is supported by you as a region) and falls back on ‘us’ if not.

Supports all 8 of your types. Let me know if you want the updates to add to your code – they updates are straightforward.

I had this plugin working fine on my local set up, when I uploaded the site to a live environment the product shortcode is no longer working.

looking at the source, I can see the <div class="awshortcode-product"> is there but no object appears inside.

I find this bug a bit weird, just dosnt make any sense to me. Why would it be find on my local then not on the live site?

I have tired re-installing this plug. I even tried installing it another live site, still didnt work there.

Dear Sirs,
I have a problem- I’ve installed Amazon Widgets Shortcodes plugin on 3 of my own WordPress sites – and it worked perfectly for a long time- but- later I’ve noticed that it started to show empty places – right where Amazon was before and should be! I see the codes in HTML as an admin but when the sites are visited by customers- – there’s an empty place only- this “story” is the same for all 3 sites…what’s wrong?! Thanks in advance.

P.S. If you tell me to give you examples of those empty places on sites- I’ll link – I didn’t place them because I don’t wish you think I’m making an advertisement of my sites- though all of them ae like personal blogs- not for business.
P.P.S. I didn’t change anything in the Tracking ID or in the codes – these are so many of them that I have no time or desire to come back to the old posts and to change anything…

Is there a way to include widgets for each relevant country?

We have visitors from all over the world. Displaying an Amazon.com link is not useful for someone who is in the UK (and the other way around).

We’re affiliates with both amazon.com and .co.uk (and .fr) and would like to display on the posts widgets for all of the amazon sites we are affiliated with.

i′ve already posted this on your own website, but to be sure: i goit the error message: “The plugin generated 802 characters of unexpected output during activation. If you notice “headers already sent” messages, problems with syndication feeds or other issues, try deactivating or removing this plugin.”

Now is this somthing to worry about?

Hi

When I upgraded this plugin, my entire site shut down. No pages would load at all.

When I disabled the plugin, the site returned.

I’ve since downgraded to the previous version of the plugin which works perfectly.

I’m not sure if there’s some kind of plugin incompatibility or something, but, given that the problem (for me) can be isolated to this update, I think there may be a problem in the new code.

Causes extremely slow page loading, Amazon connection takes 20+ seconds, so screws up page layout for most of this time.

This is the first Amazon plug in I have been able to at least show up on a page so I don’t know if this slow loading is due to the plug in or Amazon.

Any clarification on this?

Not working, the wrong country and ASIN gets displayed … anyway: the added value of this plugin would be minimal, i can add a link without plugin
