I was quite surprised that my comments were still high on the first page of the support forum (usually meaning that the plugin is not downloaded very much), but even though it’s really fiddly to use and you need to work out a new workflow to cover a blog with over 400 posts, this works better than anything else out there!
My original question was concerning Google Analytics type links, that open in a shrunken window.
It’s a lot easier when you work out the components, width and height, then save them onto a notepad, and remember to ‘paste as plain text’, and copy the link address from the original link, then delete it when the popup is compiled.
Lots of these popup plugins can only be relied on to popup content from WordPress websites, but this one pops-up content from government websites, Wikipedia, and I even tried a couple of Google Maps links last night, all of which opened in shrunken popup windows.
Right then, better crack on with the rest of my 400 posts!

Just simply works. Thank you. And the sequel alligator menu popup was just what I needed to pop from a menu.

Does what it’s supposed to do, simply and reliably.

This is how plugins should be: Simple and just add an enhancement that seems natural. Some plugins seem larger than core. Good job.

After trying some other plugins, this is the the easiest and most effective.
Thanks!

Does what it says. Pops up a new window (an actual full page within a box at the dimensions you want).

Useful when you have to call external pages from crappy websites…

I found this via a massive search task, wow just what I wanted and works in shortcode fine with the latest WP V4.6.
Many Thanks Dennis
PS: great to see the support you provide as with a quick search on the forum I was able to find help.

the flippancy of the original creation backstory is not to be found in the finished product; it’s a great, simple plugin that does one thing very well.

A simple but very useful plugin, easy to use and especially works perfect.
A very careful and gentle developer which responds promptly to customer problems even with extra helping with ideas or codes to implement the plugin in a different manner than this plugin was initially made.
Wow, not many like him.
Thanks through this way too for the patience and gentleness of this developer and i give 5 stars without hesitation to this plugin.

Well done! I was able to create a pop-up in my Ninja form in minutes, using the shortcode. Thanks for making my life so easy!

I found this from the original support question that inspired the creation. Loved the story and admired the author. Author is brilliant and very generous in his support.
Function is perfect and simple to do. I had a hundred different popups to do of varying shapes and called from different paragraphs and in different pages. No problem with anything.
A tip to those that want just content and not the header, sidebar and so forth: (probably obvious but might help) create a simple html file(s) of your content to popup, upload to a folder outside of WP and link to that file(s) with the full url. Then play around with the size of window that just fits the content.
Now, what can I offer to wrestle to get you to create another plugin for something I (and others) could find most helpful?

This simple plug in does exactly what it’s supposed to do. Open a new window when you click a link. Work’s great with no issues. Much better than trying to accomplish the same thing with some kind of a lightbox plug in.

I did a Google search for pop-up pages in WordPress and came across a question in a forum presented by a user who wanted a simple solution for creating Pop-Up pages.
One of the other users created this plugin as a response to him. Amazing!! And works PERFECT!!
Apparently, 14,000+ other people think so as well… ??

Very nice..

This is the way plugins SHOULD all be … easy to install and implement, no surprises, running in just a couple of minutes.
Thanks Cubecolour!
Jeff
(Suggestion – can you add an option so the address bar doesn’t show up in the popup?)

Started using this instead of having to manually code the js.
Worked like it is suppose to, as with any plugin it can conflict and not play nice at times, but works like a charm once you find the culprit.

I installed it, specified the vertical & horizontal dimensions. Added site. IT REALLY WORKED!!! 3 minute into this plugin and I’m happy. I wished all plugins worked as specified. Thank you. Added you to my donation list.
I almost forgot. Can you add a custom location popup feature so it’s not always center? It be cool to have it pop-able next to the click for those tiny 200×400 popups.
Thanks.

I was searching for JUST this type of Plugin when I came across the original post of someone else searching for something like it. One of the responders, in practically no time flat, selflessly created THIS plugin on the poster’s great idea….SO perfect for what I needed!
Question, though…did the original poster ever wrestle that lockjawed alligator for you? ??

Simple and effective. Does exactly what I need it to do. Thanks very much!

I have been trying to load my old Flash files in my portfolio. I needed them to load in a new window to match their dimensions, AND load from my other server, where I have some scripts for the files, and source files for data and audio… this is perfect. I love that it loads in the center of the window, too. I stumbled upon this beautiful little plugin from a forum post. The author is so generous and kind to have written this to help someone out. I’m donating!
