When clicking on the link (Listen live), pugin opens the page in a new window, as it should, but the link also opens in the parent window.

i want use the popup and it works fine with normal links but it not works with a button.

I have this code for the button: <a class="button button-secondary" href="#">Reservieren</a></p> and i test some but i cant get the code inside the button.

I’m Eric. I’m trying to show people some content on our site without leaving it or bringing on new tab – hence alligator popup plugin seems to fit the bill well for CX.

I can’t find though how to put % values for height & width of popup.

I tried:
https://www.w3schools.com/css/css_dimension.asp
For example:
height: 200px;
width: 50%;
Or
height:100vh;
but they don’t seem to work.

Only this format seems to make any difference but it is in pixel value:

Can you advise how to bring popup window as %%% of the whole site size?

I’ve decided to try plodding on with this, and I’ve ran into a slight problem.

I’m going to run external links in the pop-up(s), and I’m finding if the external link that I’m targeting is not responsive, then the pop-up page is all out of whack.

I’ve tried adding percentages instead of fixed widths and heights, but the percentage versions just end up in a tiny square in the middle.

How can I fix it so that all links show the full scrolling page of an external website, whether it be a responsive one or not?

Just putting a few feelers out here.

Just been on Google Analytics to check my stats, and going through my ‘exit pages’, there’s a link to each exit page that opens up in a pop-up window, which can then be closed when any examinations are finished.

So to the ‘feelers’:

1) I take it that Alligator Popup could achieve this effect?

2) Is it a good idea to have this effect on a website, or is it bad for SEO?

Any further info would be most welcome!

I have problem with the external link, it opens in a new window, not like a popup. I temporarily switching to a default theme such as twenty-seventeen and it working. I use Luxeritas Child Theme.
Could you give me any advices?

On this page I have a test link, which works fine, and an image above the text.

How can I use the pop up with an image please?

I would like to load an external website in a popup, but also hide the browser address bar, how do I to this please?

I’m wondering if there is a fix to this.
I’m using the popup plugin to create popup windows on pages, however even though these work 100% – when the plugin is activated, my menu buttons then pop up to a blank window and nothing is shown.
When I disable the plugin – menu works fine but then of course the popup shortcodes on my pages aren’t displayed.
Any fix to this?

In Firefox browser (ver 64.0.2), the newly opened window does not have scrollbars. Navigation is impossible.

As the title says, I’m using Elementor and would like to be able to open this popup https://network1sports.com/player.php?name=kpow in it’s own smaller window as it does on this page, https://network1sports.com//station/kpow. There it is a text link but I’d like an image.

I understand css and classes but not sure how to put it all together to make this work.

I’ve been playing with the plugin trying to get it to work before using it. I tried using the shortcode for another page on my site, but it kept opening the parent page of the target page in the URL provided. I also copied and pasted the shortcode directly from the plugin page and it is doing the same thing. We’re running the Sydney theme (soon to be BudyBoss).

I am successfully using Alligator Popup in a TablePress table. You can click on the first several links in the PICLINK column and it will link to a jpg on the server.
IE: In the very first row, clicking on “PICTURE” opens the popup – https://www.pinsource.info/pics/renegadepics/ak7901r.jpg
All of the jpg files are named xxxxxx.jpg to match the name in the PINID column.
Is it possible to code the Alligator popup to grab the PINID and insert it into the shortcode? I tried searching for a way to do this in the csv file and then importing to TablePress without success.
Is this an item that would require paid support?

There are other tables totally 11,000 + links so manually updating will be painful

I am trying to take an existing link on the page (from a SiteOrigins widget) and use JS to add the data-height, data-width, and data-scrollbars attributes as well as add the popup class. I successfully form the link with all the right attributes and with the popup class, but it does not behave like a popup.

Is there anything I can do? I can’t set the link, I can just give the URL to an existing widget. I want to make the link a popup from there.

Installed the plugin and used the shortcode to open a login page – however the main wp open the same window….

I noticed that the shortcode uses the href *that explains the page opening in the main window but the popup url uses the same trigger.

is there a way to set the href to “#” (main page stays put – and the popup url open as it should with the linked page?

All it does now is “jump” out ot the page when the link is clicked on…

Is it possible to use this plugin with something other than a text link. Would prefer to use it with a roleover image or a button, but cannot seem to get anything to work.

I’m finding Alligator Plugin really useful for implementing a separate popup window for a radio station website, to display a live on-air player. Using Alligator, it’s possible to keep that window open (and audio playing), even when it gets hidden behind other screens; just what I need. However, each time a user clicks on the link to open the popup (for instance, when forgetting that it already is), another instance of the plugin’s window opens. Might it be possible to change the coding, so that it checks for whether the window is open, and only opens it if it isn’t already?
I noticed that the plugin code uses jQuery, and I’ve also happened across a similar question online involving jQuery code – https://stackoverflow.com/questions/10882112/check-if-a-popup-window-is-already-open-before-opening-it-using-jquery. I’m wondering whether any of the ideas in this thread might be a starting point for giving Alligator plugin this kind of functionality.
