I am using this plugin and there are things more recent versions of PHP moan about. It’s the dynamic creation of properties in classes. Since the GitHub seems to be deleted, I am trying to post my patch here.
In all-in-one-favicon.php, find:
class AllInOneFavicon {
Add after that:

public $aioFaviconFrontendMap;
public $aioFaviconBackendMap;
In includes/aio-favicon-backend.php, find:
class AioFaviconBackend {
Add after that:
public $aioFaviconSettings;

public $faviconFrontendMap;
public $faviconBackendMap;
public $faviconMap;
In includes/favicon-render-helper.php, find:
class FaviconRenderHelper {
Add after that:
public $aioFaviconSettings;
public $aioFaviconType;
It is deprecated now, so it will be removed at some point in the future but it still fills the logs if you are on PHP 8.2 or newer.
Maybe that helps someone, maybe this even makes its way into the code.

]]>I have uploaded an icon to my WP site (as above); the favicon shows on chrome (although not safari) on desktop. It appears on iPhone (iOS 13) on favourites. However, when I add a shortcut to home page, i see an image of the site, NOT the icon. Can this be changed?

Hello, I used the PHP Compatibility Checker plugin to check the compatibility of several plugins we use, before we upgrade our server to PHP 7.3. According to PHP Compatibility Checker, All in one Favicon is compatible but has one warning: “Function create_function() is deprecated since PHP 7.2; Use an anonymous function instead”. Is this something that will be addressed in the near future?

I have changed the appearance of the Colorbox navigation arrows by replacing a controls.png file in theme2 folder.
Alas they are not update, the old control.png image file seems to be taken in charge.
As far as I remember this is a very first time this happen.
I have purged all browser cache. The same results occurs in any machine and different browsers.
I will deeply appreciate any helpful suggestion.

Hi all, my favicon doesn’t show in the front end any longer. I’m not sure when this started. The problem’s the same in Firefox and Safari. For the front end I use the same .png logo as for the back end. I already deleted and re-uploaded it, no result. I checked the support history on this problem, but I think those posts are too old to be of use now.
Any help would be much appreciated!

Hello, the favicon of my website backend is different from the site frontend. This is not a big issue, since the frontend icon is showing correctly, but are there any known reasons this is happening?

]]>Hello Arne, if you change 4 bits of constructor syntax you will avoid 4 deprecation messages that come up when using your plugin in PHP7. This was tested on PHP 7.1.1.

I just wanted to let you know that when I activate this plugin I get this message:
The plugin generated 187 characters of unexpected output during activation. If you notice “headers already sent” messages, problems with syndication feeds or other issues, try deactivating or removing this plugin.
Any idea why is that?

Hi. I recently updated to version 4.4 of All in One Favicon and also version 2.0 of Twitter Tweets Box and they caused my site to go down. Has anyone had a similar issue and can this be fixed? (I had to deactivate both plug-ins to get my site back up.) Thank you.

If so, here is a feature suggestion based on a possible limitation to the current plugin:
The Front-end and Back-end ICONS work great. But when it comes to media content, such as PDF files, your plugin defaults to the Back-end favicon for those. If it needs to default to any ICON it really should default to the Front-end favicon.
Can you implement an update for that?

]]>Just a heads up that this plugin will completely stop working when you upgrade to WordPress 4.3 – which is due to be released sometime over the summer. WordPress 4.3 will have favicon functionality built in, which is incompatible with this plugin.
To set the favicon in WordPress 4.3:
1. Click Settings
2. Click General
3. Fill out the Site Icon section
You will need to upload an image that is at least 512×512 pixels, so existing icons you have used with this plugin will not work!
Given this plugin has been abandoned I have attempted to contact the author to take over development of it, but so far haven’t had any luck. Hang in there, I haven’t given up yet!

I have installed SSL certificate recently and I got the message that some of my page content is insecure. Run a check and it seems that my favicon is one of those insecure content.

]]>Just a note to remind the dev that in a few short months, the plugin will be marked with “This plugin has not been updated in two years” and it will disappear from the plugins returned in a “new plugin” search from the dashboard.
It might be a good idea to update the file to indicate it works with 4.0.
