The plugin has stopped displaying the content in Microsoft Edge whereas it works perfectly in Opera and Firefox. In Edge it displays the following message : “Microsoft Defender Smartscreen has blocked this unsafe content”.

Not able to install.

The instructions are far from clear. The second instructions i had from “support” differed from the first one.

the second instructiions seemed to requrie (again these were not clear);

1. Downloaded installation folder/
2. Unzipped folder:
3. Extracted the “plugin folder”.
4. Zipped plugin folder
5. tried 2 methods as second instructions did not specify method.
6. COpied zipped file to plugin folder of my wordpress file. The plugin was not recognised.
7. Used install option is WordPress; both with Zipped and unzipped file;
8. ON each occaision I received the messages
   Unpacking the package…
   Installing the plugin…
   The package could not be installed. No valid plugins were found.
   Plugin installation failed.
9. I have tried support from my hosting site, but this has not given an answer.
   
   can anyone advise what to do here?

Hi, super plugin but cannot change settings, move or delete the block once the page is Updated.

Using latest WP and PHP7.3 and twenty eleven theme. Yes, I know but not my site! If it’s the theme perhaps you can suggest one I can upgrade to where they won’t notice the difference!

Just wondering if there is a way to make the PDF viewer resizable?

Since our users have a broad range of devices, it would be helpful if they could resize the viewer if they wish. Perhaps a >> type control on the sides or at the bottom corner?

Would be fine to know how to set this in the HTML view, if it is not easily added to the Gutenberg block settings.

If possible, this would make your wonderful Algori PDF Viewer even more effective.

This is a great plugin, for sure!!! Thank you.

If we turn on the bookmark option and the highlighting option, then we believe our users would like to save those for future reference.

However, this is a membership site for viewing the PDFs only, not for downloading them.

If the user adds a bookmark or adds one or more highlights to the PDF, is that editing data available in a way that we could save it to the user’s account in Memberpress/Wordpress and then be able to re-load it for them the next time they visit that same PDF?

Just for ‘scale’ of this, we have about 1,250 PDFs and about 200 users.

Just this one more question today.

I’m getting two variations on the page number and page controls in the header of the PDF Pro viewer. Some have the curved up and curved down arrows for navigation and show the page number as nn of xx.

Some other times, the header does not show the arrows, but only a box with the current page number (of xx) where the user can change the number to go to another page.

We MUCH prefer the two arrows format, as that will be much better for our user community. How to we assure this is always displayed? Perhaps this is a function of how headers and footers are formatted in the PDF?

Please advise, as we are confident you know the answer.

Here’s another question as we are installing Algori PDF Pro on our website:

Is it possible to specify the page to which a PDF opens based on a URL parameter? We have the need in some cases to start the recording player on a page at a certain time stamp and to have the PDF, which is a transcript of the recording, open to the page in the transcript that matches the audio.

I see there is a way to specify this as a fixed number in the page number setting in the Gutenberg block, but we need something that is more flexible, such as being specified via the URL.

Really like the PDF Pro plugin!!

Is there a way to use the PDF Viewer Pro other than through the Gutenberg Block?

In particular, our PDFs are all transcripts of recordings and we often have multiple recordings on a page. We already have a player that will display text below the player depending on the recording that the user has selected. This happens in HTML. So, is there a shortcode or a standard HTML format that can be used so that we can show the Transcript related to the recording the user is hearing?

The sample page only has one recording, but the format of the page HTML is the same with the reference information below the player invoked by HTML code linked to the player (ID=0 for the single player case).

When I insert Algori PDF Viewer into a block I have no control of it, there’s no option to adjust center, left or right, change color or anything else in terms of formatting. I’ve done a work around by copying and pasting the code into an HTML code box, but this is not the best way, as every time I copy and paste the code from one PDF, it removes the code from another PDF.

I have the Ashe theme which this plugin says is compatible, but something’s wrong.

For your info, direct download to PDF file using URL is disabled using .htaccedd. Is this related?

There is a problem by loading in Elementor the code of the pdf-viewer html(c.f. code below). Do you know if this is possible to do? Do you have a workaround for that?

I’m working on a new site, not live yet.
I really like how the plugin works on desktop view compared to other plugins, but I can’t get it to adapt to mobile screen. It just doesn’t change size and it is a must for our site.
Does this change with the pro version?

In Gutenberg, the block zone is 580px by default. Because the PDF default is 600px there is a slight overlap. A 580px default would be better.

Great plugin, but it doesn’t work with amp.
