Thanks for this great plugin!
I have tested the plugin with my iPhone at Honolulu, Hawaii and Morristown, NJ. At both locations, it initially displays weather for “Potwin, Kansas”.
In Hawaii, it displayed the correct location the second day I was there, and using WiFi. In New Jersey, it never changed from Potwin, Kansas.
Any ideas how I can fix this? Thank you!

]]>Hi,
It worked on my old server and now after the move it does not work with auto detect location.
Just title bar is visible, manually setting location works but not auto.
I really like this plugin and I hope its not dead because there’s no replies from developer.
Please fix or explain steps needed to fix.

Hello.
I would like to delete the GeoLite2-City.mmdb file because of it’s big size.
Can the file be deleted without impact on plugin functionality?
I’m using fixed manual location only.
Hi, can you also add functionality to change the time format on the sun up and sun down display?
Over here in Europe, we generally don’t use am and pm time formats.
Greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Compliments on the rest of the plugin. Nicely done. Very happy with it.

Hello!
I’m a network administrator and I need to know the URL of the website(s) from which Alfie pulls it’s data. We have made changes to our firewall and it is not loading correctly any longer. I need to add those sites to our exceptions list so Alfie can function properly.
Thanks!
Christy
]]>Hi
This plugin looks great. But it’s not displaying in Safari on my IPad nor on Windows Explorer. Works on Google Chrome and on my Android devices.
Chrome does not translate into Norwegian, but Android does. Except wind direction. I also would like a 24h clock and wind speed in m/s instead of km/h.

]]>Hi there,
I love the Alfi weather plugin and am just installing it for a client of mine. Actually I am still working locally and can not give a link to an online website yet.
A former installation worked fine but unfortunately for unknown reasons Alfi does not work at all. No location/city can be selected for the widget and no forecast comes up on the website.
I have tried installations on two different computers with different php/xampp versions.
It gives an error saying:
Notice: Undefined variable: post in D:\xampp\htdocs\xxxwebsitexxx\wp-content\plugins\alfie-wp-weather\alfie-wp-weather.php on line 156

I am using wordpress-4.0-de_DE with alfie-wp-weather.1.2.13.
Have re-installed WP several times, as well have tried wordpress-3.9.1-de_DE and Alfi alfie-wp-weather.1.2.12 but the problem is still the same.
Have you heard of this problem before, am I doing anything wrong, do you have any ideas what I could doto solve the issue?
Thanks a lot for your help!

Is it possible to add more days for the forecast? like 5 days for example.
Great plugin thank you.
Hi, the title says it all: the main forecast shown by the plugin is for the day before. The two other ones are current day and day after. I would like the main one to tell visitors abut current weather and the two small ones for the next 2 days. I simply don’t understand. This application is awesome, I don’t want to skip to another one, but I need to fix this!
You can see what I am talking about in my website here: https://buron-st-robert.com/
thanks!
]]>There is not an option to alter this from km/h in the widget control panel.
Anyone got any idea what I can change in the code to do this? Happy to hack whatever module is required… ??

]]>Just installed the latest version of 1.2.13 and I am unable to get the language to switch completely from French to English, however, some bits do translate like High, humidity, sunrise/set but condition e.g. partly cloudy, weekdays, forecast stay in the default language.
I have tried it with two plugins (different sites) polylang and WPML. Both show the same issue.
Hi, the plugin looks great, great reviews, the only WordPress plugin with auto_location, but it’s not working for me. I’d be grateful if you could point out my error.
I’ve checked for allow_url_fopen and have added yum install php-bcmath to CentOS. I get a blank space on the page if I use a short-code, and just the header “Local Weather” if I use the widget.
I’ve left the shortcode as [alfie_wp_weather woeid=”” automatic_location=true] for now in case you have time to look

I’ve tried with and without auto_location and have tried with and without weoid.
Any ideas please
Tim
After moving the site to a new host the widget is not showing in the home page footer. I’ve tryed deactivating and reinstalling the extension without success. The site can be found here https://www.lloretguide.com

in the description it mentions the translations. Can you actually change the lang7uage in the widget or does that mean it is ready for multisite translation.
If you can change the language where can you do that?

]]>Dear all,
On my site, Alfie Weather fails to install.
Using WP, the “waiting for…” remains there it seems forever.
Using FTP will bring up the message “are your sure” and after accepting returns to the installed plugins.
Suggestions are welcome; I could not find anything here (sorry for that) but I am sure that I have overlooked something.
Thank you in advance, Jan.
]]>Hi,
I have a problem with the widget: when I set it up to display the weather based on GeoIP, the widget outputs nothing at all. I verified and my Geoip is detectable by geoip tool so it should be detected ok by the widget too (www.geoiptool.com).
]]>I’m working with pt_PT language, all looks good except that the city doesn’t translate (eg.: it stays as Lisbon instead of translating to the Portuguese name of “Lisboa”).
Where do you change that?

Thanks.
]]>i really like your plugin. if you could add bigger forecast and improvements in order to be more beautifull in full width display it will be super,

Hello there, first of all, awesome plugin. But i have little problems. I have alfie wp weather on one website and im using shortcode
<?php echo do_shortcode('[alfie_wp_weather woeid="15022420" units="c" temperature="c" country=0 condition=0 highlow=0 wind=0 humidity=0 visibility=0 sunrise=0 sunset=0 forecast=0 credits=0]');?>
and everything works ok – part from its not display symbol “C” next to °.
So now i have another web, here is WP latest, and latest alfie wp weather and im using same shortcode, but here it displays temperature 3xtimes bigger, if i put units=”f” and temperature=”f” it stays the same, so i reckon is reading only farenheit. How to fix this?
]]>Hi, I have Alfie Weather installed on my site’s Home page (www.hanliujuwu.com – bottom right of page). Recently, I changed the domain to this URL from the old one (www.myhome.dreamhosters.com) and although I have since updated the URLs across the site, the plugin only displays the title, but no elements beneath. It was working fine before, so I assume it must be something to do with the domain change, but am unsure how to proceed. I did install one plugin since that time, whose function was to help me update the URLs, but deactivating it seems not to make a difference. I would appreciate any help you can provide.
]]>Hi appcuarium
New user here, and looking forward to getting your plugin working as it looks to be the best around.
I’ve added the shortcode to a page, and I get nothing showing at all. There do not seem to be any JS errors or messages in the browser console that might explain this.
[alfie_wp_weather woeid="2268295" country=0 condition=0 units="c" automatic_location=0]
I have been through your support page, and I guess it might be this issue :
You should enable allow_url_fopen in your server configuration, as it is needed by Alfie WP Weather to get the info from Yahoo.
I am the webdev without server/cPanel access, so is there any way round this ?
Also, other weather plugins seem to use Yahoo! API and they are displaying OK on my site (eg: Weather Layer)
Thanks in advance.
