]]>I like the plugin, but am looking for the functionality to loop through multiple XML files to extract the same tag value and post it on a page against the appropriate entry.
The base url is the same, but using different variables to call the xml file: ex: BaseUrl/showxml?variablename=variablevalue where the shortcode could then be something like: [advanced-xml tag="tagname" id="variablevalue"]
If there is anyway for me to do this, let me know.

]]>I just installed this plugin and tried to test it, but when I visited the page into which I inserted the shortcode, it generated a fatal PHP error. The error is as follows:
PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function curl_init() in /var/www/wp-content/plugins/advanced-xml-reader/curl.php on line 58, referer: https://www.example.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=2&action=edit&message=1I guess that means the cURL is required in order to use this plugin, and that I don’t have cURL enabled on my server.
Is there a particular reason you’re using cURL rather than utilizing the built-in HTTP API in WordPress? Thank you.

Upgraded from 3.0.4 to 3.1.2 WordPress multisite and one of my websites disappeared (500 error). I switched of this plugin and then my website was back again. So it seems to be not compatible with 3.1.2.

At end is the content of the XML file I am using for testing.
The plugin installs fine and the xml file url is accessible as it displays when entered in a browser.
But the tags do not get processed on publish. They appear as regular text content.
Are there dependencies which I might be missing? I’m on a VPS (Centos 5.5 with WHM) so I can install libraries.
Also I may be missing something about the delimiters in the AXR settings.
If I just insert the url location of the xml file, no errors are generated, but no processing of tags occurs.
Looking at the delimiter examples I tried using >< as the element delimiter and </Table> as the row delimiter.
I obviously have no idea what I’m doing. Any help gratefully appreciated.

Hi Raymond,
I think many people are really eager for the update that permits proper looping through multiple entries. After all, it’s not often that an XML feed will only contain a single entry. :S Do you know when we can expect the modification?
If it’s going to be a while, do you know of another plugin that permits multiple entries?
