I’m reopening a support topic that was closed. This widget is finding posts that have been deleted and are stored in the trash can.
]]>I have enabled option to search by custom post type under Widgets. When I do search any word + custom post type then menu disappeared and instead of that search result displayed.
Please fix it asap.
]]>I am using the widget with wp 4.1 and the twenty fifteen theme, works great. One problem, how do ik get te widget to appear on the content-none.php page if their are no search results? Tried everything but no result. Is this possible. Now the normal search function is appearing, deactivated this but want to replace it with the advange version. Beacuse twenty fifteen has no real sidebar and in mobile version and on tablets people have to click the x to get the menu down to reach the advanged search form. I prefer it on the no result page.
Thanks.
]]>As a standalone this worked fine for me. I have many plugins and have not yet witnessed any issues. However, in twentyfourteen them you have a built in button for searching at top menu (the magnifying glass). How do we replace standard search code with this widget? otherwise users will accidentally use the wrong search, and then won’t find tagged posts as standard search does not include that type of search criteria.
Thanks for all your work Aaron.
]]>Hey AA – How about a styling feature in the widget, at the very least letting us set the width. This thing looks stupid in the 250px sidebar we have in theme we’re working with. It would also be nice to have the ability to turn off the dropdown suggestions. Thanks bud.
]]>Hi there,
I have just taken over maintenance of our site, and I am new to wordpress… so I wanted to ask for help with a problem I am having with our search engine. We have this widget installed but it seems to only be searching articles one the site that are at least 6 months old. Could you offer any insight as to why and how I might fix this? thanks.
]]>Hi there
I work for a company based in Ontario, and in January 2014 all companies with 50 or more employees need to have accessible websites, adhering to the AODA (Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act).
All websites need to be WCAG 2.0 (Level A) compliant, and I noticed that the coding in your plugin was giving us a bit of an error. Unfortunately I am in no way knowledgable when it comes to coding, and so I am unable to fix this myself. I was curious as to whether or not you had plans to make your plugin compliant with this code in order to assist those who may have disabilities and would use something like a screen reader?
If you would like to see the errors that were coming up, I used achecker.ca and our company website is https://www.arntstopsoil.com. I would really love to hear back from you! Thanks.
]]>I dont know how it is but the widget finding deleted posts or tasks. Even if you delete this task or edit and publish widget finding some tasks still.. dont know how pls help.

]]>We have a category post widget showing the latest article in a category on our sidebar. When I search using the Advanced Search Widget, that category post widget suddenly changes to show the first search result (which isn’t even necessarily in the same category). With this plugin disabled, there’s no problem. Any ideas how I can remedy this? Here’s an example: https://fandomania.jtddev.com/?s=star+wars&posttype=post&widget=advanced-search-widget-4 (It’s the podcast widget on the right)
Thanks!

]]>Thanks. This is just the kind of search I was looking for as I’m building my first website [myfoodchannel.com]. However, the widget is too small for viewers to use.
I’m just getting into WordPress, and am using Weaver II theme.
How can I fix this? Thanks, in advance.
