Plugin refused to “Activate” (with the author) despite being Activated in WordPress just fine. A free plugin shouldn’t need to activate with it’s developer in any way shape or form just to run in a free mode. Couldn’t do anything at all with the plugin except for uninstall it.

Free version doing almost nothing more than WordPress built-in menu feature. Bugged, also critical one.

Been looking for something like for a while, makes handling a large menu so much easier!

This looks like an alpha version of plugin. Idea is good, but a lot of bugs and it just did not work. I wanted to add pages by author or by category and it was loading, loading and actually did nothing. You should find better developers and QA.

I have hundreds of pages that I needed to make a menu with. The WordPress inbuilt functionality is quite terrible. This plugin did make that job a little easier. However, it could have been much, much better. The daunting task ahead of me was selecting many, many pages for the menu. The main page and most of its children were thankfully right next to each other in the plugin’s selection structure. All I had to was click each and every page to add it to my menu, one by one. No easy shortcuts for this plugin! The plugin got the job done-ish in a fraction of the time it would have with just the WordPress functionality.
You may have noticed the “Most of its Children” part. Yes, the alphabetical listing of child pages sometimes just left off some of the pages around below the letter T. A quirk of the search? No! I wasn’t even searching. When bulk adding to the menu, sometimes I’d have pages that started with W, sometimes not.
Also, adding more pages to these menus after the initial selection was impossible. I tried every button I could and never figured it out. Just go to the WordPress menu system to do those updates for T-Z pages. While you’re there, use the WordPress Menu drag and drop interface for rearranging the pages into the parent and child structure. Not only does the plugin not bring those relationships into your menu, the plugin sometimes messes up the settings for parent and child relationships in the menu after you save.

The free version saved me hours of work, and its very easy to use! I have hundreds of pages and the standard WP search is pretty useless, but the search on this plugin is great. Being able to hide existing menu items is especially useful.
What would be an improvement would be to use the plugin to be able to manage pages. I have redesigned my entire site and have lots of old published pages, being able to view published pages that are not an existing menu item, and then be able to make them draft or delete would be a great tool!

This plugin was a godsend when I decided to completely revamp my site’s navigation system. It made it very easy to create multiple menus for different sections of the site. It was so much easier than the basic wordpress menu system, especially regarding finding the pages to add to each menu. The ability to collapse sub menus and move them around was also fantastic. The only shortcoming from my point of view is performance. You have to be very patient when opening and editing large menus.

Performed exactly as described. It’s help was crucial in creating a menu with a large number of pages

I′ve clicked “no thanks” repeatedly, for weeks because I haven′t used it enough to leave an effective review, but it continually prompts me to leave a review. I want to be helpful, but repeatedly taking up my dashboard space asking for a review is beginning to turn me against it before I even give it a chance. Please get rid of the constant requests for a review.

Provides what I’ve long believed should be incorporated in WP by default.
(As a previous user mentioned, I hope this zaps the incessant nag-for-review)

Advanced Menu Manager is an incredible plugin, that makes it very easy to manage even the most complex menu with hundred of entries.
It works like a charme. If you try it you will forget forever the standard WordPress menu manager.
With Advanced Menu Manager you can add whatever kind of voice to your menu, right where you want and as fast as you can image. You can group voices very easy, collapse them in group (this is a “magic” feature to have), move and delete them as you want.
Very cool, useful, well made plugin.

This is real a unique plugin. I had hundreds of categories and the built-in wp nav menu is too bad for making some long menus. Fortunately this plugin save me!
Despite that had 2 important bugs the support team answer me in 1 day and we fix the problem.
I hope the team to keep alive and updated this plugin cause its very very important. For me its a must have plugin.
Thank you!

This plugin is awesome!! It saved me a ton of time!
It works really well, you can collapse menu structures, you have your page hierachy intact when adding pages, and you can see which page you already added!! This is gold!!
Really really usefull when working with 50+ menu items!

After several days use …
I was looking for a plugin similar to this for a while, this works as indicated but can be a bit slow if you have a lot of pages (1000’s) and many menu items (150+), especially sub-menu and sub-sub-menu items. I have a full VPS setup with SSD storage for both files and mysql. plenty of memory and space.
Due to the slowness I tend to deactivate the plugin when not in use. As per another review the DotStore plugin menu location in the WP Admin menu is annoying to say the least – needs to be under the core WP-Admin menu items, this is another reason that I choose to deactivate it when not in use.
Have made a feature request to allow for page parent selection and to then be able to only show and choose the child pages of that parent. This would save some considerable time if you have lots of pages.
The ability to not show menu items already used is a good handy feature.
4 stars for it being a tad slow and the feature request that I feel is necessary, otherwise this is a really good plugin that I’d give a 5 if these issues were resolved.

Love the plugin works great when managing big menus, only 1 issue that stopped me giving it 5 stars, the placement of your Dotstore plugins admin menu is in between post and media with a big coloured logo which I find intrusive. If the admin menu was under appearance then this would be a great full time replacement for the standard menu editor, but in its current state i find myself having to deactivate after each use.
