First of all, let me tell you how much I do enjoy this great plugin !
Since almost one week, browsing the database tables views in adminer, I’m coping with a brand new bug : columns displaying data size, overhead and number of rows are filled with “?” instead of real value.
I’ve search in the support forum but didn’t find a clue.
Could you please tell me about the way out of this problem ?

Ran a Malware san using the “Anti-Malware from GOTMLS.NET” plugin, and it identified wp-content/plugins/adminer/inc/adminer/drivers/simpledb.inc.php as a “Known Threat”. Specifically, this section of code was identified:

Besides the PHP error, Adminer seems to work more or less.
I vaguely remember, that when I was using Adminer on similar setup year or so ago, I was creating some configuration documents at wp-content folder. I can’t to recall what they were though, so sorry if I am missing something obvious.
I’m able to sort the tables in Adminer but unable to save the sorted data. I click save but if I exit the table and re-open it, it reverts back to the unsorted data. How does one save the sorted data?
]]>I’ve imported csv data for a couple of tables already and had no problems but data for one table generated an error “Must be UTF-8 encoding.” I did everything the same. Perhaps the characters in the data changed something. I tried the ms-dos version of csv and data imported successfully but changed my dashes (used to note ranges) to question marks. Any suggestions?

After exporting and editing the sql file from the old site, I uploaded it to the new server via FTP in the plugins/adminer directory and renamed the file to adminer.sql. Now I am trying to import it with adminer’s “from server” option, but it is telling me the file does not exist. Is it just too big?

]]>I have been having a hell of a time with Adminer whether runs inside or in a new tab, when you click on select data, it always defaults to:
SELECT * FROMwp_optionsLIMIT 50 (0.001 s) Edit
Now that is often pretty useless, so when you click on the edit to try and actually input a useful query, it results in an error:
You don't have permission to access /plugins/adminer/inc/adminer/loader.php on this server.
This makes no sense given all the permissions are right, so what’s causing this? I have to keep opening up the regular phpMyAdmin which works just fine, just Adminer throws an error and fails.
Quite annoying given the reason to have Adminer is so you don’t have to keep opening up phpMyAdmin, but right now its just a useless waste of space as it stands, it will show basic stuff but if you try to do anything beyond the limited defaults, nothing but errors.

Hello, I always use this fantastic plugin in all my sites because is very fast and easy to do the backup of the database. In some cases (2 or 3 websites) I’m not able to make a dump. After clicking export the page is waiting forever for server answer. I imagine this can be caused from some server configuration or permissions, but I don’t know what, therefore i cannot ask the hosting support to fix it or indicate me what to change. Many thanks for any help!!

These tables did not include the ‘DROP TABLE IF EXISTS’ line or the ‘CREATE TABLE’ section.

I used Adminer to import an older wordpress sql backup. I’ve successfully imported it and can see the tables in both Adminer and Phpmyadmin, and my WordPress site is pointing to the right database, however, I cannot see the contents of the tables on my WordPress site.
I’m not sure this is the right place to ask such a question, but thought I’d ask in case there’s something I’m not seeing on the import side.

We are not coders at all, but we are decent at wordpress. We got tired of having our site hacked and are attempting to use Adminer on Bitnami WordPress on Google Cloud Platform. It installed and runs just fine, however we can’t create users, switch from the default database to our database or anything else. Please advise. It doesn’t lock up, we just can’t do anything with it. We read somewhere else to try and edit our wp-config.php file, upload it and Adminer would grab the data, but it just crashed the site and we had to redo everything.
