Hi there, I noticed there is a small issue with this plugin causing notices to be triggered when debugging is on.
On lines 12 & 13 of addthis-bar.php the define functions are being called without the new constant names in quotes, this leads to the notices:
Notice: Use of undefined constant ADDTHIS_WELCOME_PRODUCT_CODE – assumed ‘ADDTHIS_WELCOME_PRODUCT_CODE’
Notice: Use of undefined constant ADDTHIS_WELCOME_AT_VERSION – assumed ‘ADDTHIS_WELCOME_AT_VERSION’
If you just wrap the constants on those lines in quotes it will be all fixed!
Thanks,
Camden
I’ve installed the Welcome Bar WP plugin. The bar doesn’t show up on my pages, and in the admin settings, where it says, “Visitors from everywhere will see this bar at the top of their screen:” there’s nothing in the box. So it seems there is a problem. But I don’t know where to start. Any ideas? Thanks a lot!
Here’s my site. WB is activated (at least as of now): https://www.garthstein.com
]]>I tried to show only if using facebook and it’s not showing. Also I’ve tried with twitter and google + still not showing. It’s working only if I tick the all visitors, but don’t want to have that.
]]>Hello there,
Can I manage cookies in your plugin so that a bar is or is not shown to returning visitors depending on whether or not they have acted upon a given action within the bar (i.e. closing it)
Thank you and regards,
Jose
]]>Hello,
The Font used for the button looks almost pixelated.
is it possible to change the font used for the button (and/or tue message as well?)
When I click on the button it loads a new tab, is there any way I can make this load in the same window…
Kickass plugin by the way, there’s just a few small things like the above.
]]>Hi
I have downloaded the WP plugin onto my site at https://www.solutionssocialmedia.shereesartain.co.uk/tempboddaert/ but when I go to the settings page there are no visitor types showing in the add visitor type box, and I can find no way of displaying any. I am using the WP BlogoLife theme for my site.
I have visited your code page but am dubious about altering any WP coding as I know little about programming.
Any help you can give will be appreciated.
Whenever I deactivate (not delete, just deactivate) the plugin, I lose all my custom settings. I’ve customized the button color and the messages, and I have to re-enter them every time. Typically, a plugin will retain your settings when it’s deactivated.
]]>How do I change the value in the AddThis Profile ID: field within WordPress?
I’ve added a Profile to my AddThis account and would like to add the Profile ID from my AddThis Account to the AddThis Profile ID: within the Plugin but I’m unable to amend the auto-generated value in the field.
Thank you.
Hi,
Is there a way to customize the display of the AddThis welcome bar to ensure that it doesn’t cover up the top navigation of my site? I have a black bar with nav links at the very top in the exact place where the wordpress admin bar would be loaded.
But – I can’t find a way to push that down so it shows below the welcome bar. I was able to do this previously with the hello bar and this is a customization that would seal the deal for me switching over to you completely.
Any advice would be most appreciated!
]]>Hi,
Is it possible to have the welcome bar float – so when the user scrolls down, the bar stays at the top of the page in sight?
If so – is this only through the API? and can you walk me through how to do this?
or am I missing a setting?
]]>hello,
I have “addthis” plugin activated in my blog.
In the settings, I checked the 2 check-boxes “categories” and “excerpts” and saved the update, but nothing happen in my blog. The share buttons are not displayed for those 2 options.
here below you can see the problem.

Can you tell me please how can I fix this problem?
Thanks in advance.
I didn’t entered profile/username/password at install because I didn’t know exactly how addthis works. Now I want to add these options, but it’s impossible. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the plugin again. I even tried to delete some database entries related to addthis and now it’s all messed up.
I’d like an option to reset settings.
An option to change profile/username/password later would also be good.

]]>I’m a little unsure what the ‘All Visitors’ option is all about.
It’s unticked by default so does this mean it overwrites every other option OR is it a catch-all that displays if all the other options are unforfilled?
Please can anyone clarify this option for me?
