I have woocommerce installed. I had mailpoet in the past. Now I reinstalled it and no matter which link from its menu I am clicking on, I am getting redirected to the woocommerce-mailpoet setup. No matter what I am doing on that setup page (checking or unchecking the options), nothing happens. It is stuck there. There are no ather errors show elsewhere.

What can I do to fix this?

Hello, I noticed a bug since the latest updates to MailPoet 5 and WooCommerce 9.2.2. I presume this plugin has not been maintained for a too long time so that it’s not compatible any more.

For logged in users (either admin or customer) the cart page won’t load with plugin activated, Error 500.

For admins, trying to open the available lists page of plugin config tab in WooCommerce results in a critical error inside that page:

For now, I can only disable the plugin.

When it’s active, clicking “proceed to checkout” from my cart page results in “There has been a critical error on this website.” Deactivate the plugin and the site works fine.

Very strange, as I hadn’t changed anything. Only thing I can think is that something, whether this plugin or another, updated automatically and it broke.

Hello, my current MailPoet version is not 3 but 4.5.2 – do I still need this Plugin with WooCommerce?

Hi, tested your plugin to overcome the issue of users being unsubscribed from mailing lists, if they do not check the ‘subscribe’ box on Woo checkout. I’m very happy to see that you do not unsubscribe users if this is not selected.

I have come across one issue. I have an automated email set to go out when someone subscribes to the ‘newsletter’ mailing list. If this is the only list your plugin subscribes a user to, the automated email goes out fine.

If I set your plugin to subscribe to both ‘newsletter’ and ‘woocommerce customers’ the automated email does not go out. I do not want the users to select the mailing lists, I want them added to both and the welcome email to go out. Not sure if this is an issue with your plugin or with MailPoet directly. Many thanks.

I upgraded to mailpoet 3.81 recently. When customers, that are already subscribed to email lists checkout without checking the “received updates via email” box they are removed from their existing lists.
This is unintentional on their part and I hope also on Mailpoets part. I reverted to MailPoet 3.76 and it’s working again. Existing lists are not changed when checking out.
This change in 3.77 seems like a likely candidate as to why this behavior changed. “Fixed: opting out on WooCommerce checkout doesn’t unsubscribe from other lists configured in MailPoet Settings.”
I haven’t read the bug details but I don’t see how this was incorrect behavior. That’s a pretty subtle side effect that someone would expect to be unsubscribed from their lists when they uncheck this box while placing an order. Seems more appropriate to tell folks to use the unsubscribe link in an email.
There needs to be a way to configure the checkbox to be checked by default if this is an intentional sideeffect. I’ve had multiple customers note/complain that they no longer receive my weekly email updates.

Hi there, your pluogin doe sniot work with the latest mailpoet & WC plugins anymore. Customers are unable to finish the checkout. Whenm clicking pay order the page scrolls back to the top and it is not possible to proceed. An order is filed in the backend though, but unpaid.

i was looking for a solution to have mulitilist subscription at checkout.
I tried your extension, It shows multilists at checkout so I translate it integraly and when I tested it, it doesn’t work.
It doesn’t send optin-email and customers email doesn’t appear in back office.
I don’t understand.

Hi!
I setted the Default checkbox status to be “Checked”, “Multi-Subscription?” – “No”. “Enable Double Opt-in?” – unchecked. The sunscription checkbox I hid by css. But I can see in debugger it is checked according the settings on checkout.
So a guest customers emails are added to subscribers after checkout but with incorrect status. “Unsubscrbed” instead of “Subscribed’. What is the reason? Would you be so kind to help me to find out?

When I enable this plugin, and have this setting check-marked: “Controls whether a double opt-in confirmation message is sent, defaults to true.” I do not receive any email to confirm the subscription, and thus, the email shows as “unsubscribed” in my MailPoet subscribers list… because of this, the user will not get any MailPoet emails, since I am using the MailPoet Sending Service, which requires users to be “Subscribed” to a list.

I prefer to use this plugin rather than the default MailPoet WooCommerce default settings area, because I am able to add people to multiple lists during checkout…

So, this is a huge problem.

If i disable this plugin and use the default MailPoet WooCommerce double-optin, then this works and I get the confirm subscription email… why is it not sending this email with the TikWeb plugin?

If I have both enabled, then there are two checkbox areas that show up on my checkout.. obviously this is redundant … I only want 1 checkbox.

The default MailPoet WooCommerce optin is unchecked by default…. so if I can have it checked by default, that solves part of the problem… how do I add to multiple lists then?

This is why I prefer to use the TikWeb plugin… but it does not send the confirm subscription email… what am I doing wrong?

Hello, a few others had already reported, that the action add_action( ‘posts_selection’, ‘mpwa_frontend_fields_init_posts_selection’ ); might be a problem. I also have issues and getting errors. Only if ajax calls are happening on the checkout – therefore if you do not run the function mpwa_frontend_fields_init_posts_selection if wp_doing_ajax() there is no more error.

Hi,
We have 3 lists to subscribe on checkout. Three radio items are shown on checkout page. But subscription doesn’t depend on checking of these items. It depends in fact only on default checkbox status option on plugin settings page and that’s all. A user checks some or even all items while checkout. But after checkout is completed there is no any of these lists on /wp-admin/admin.php?page=mailpoet-subscribers#/ page for this user.
We had to rollback from 1.1.17 to 1.1.15 version. In 1.1.15 the subscription to lists on checkout works well.
Could you solve the problem?

I have trouble with translating the “Privacy Policy” string that appears on the checkout page when I use the option “Display GDPR Subscription consent Text”. This link is created by the shortcode [privacy_policy]. The string is already translated in french in WooCommerce PO files but this text is still displayed in English. I’m using Loco Translate.

Any tips to get the translation ?

i have two problems using the plugin:

1. Although I have activated Double-Optin, I do not receive an e-mail confirming the newsletter registration.

2. After submitting the order the subscriber is already in the status “checked”. He is not assigned to any list. (I have selected a list in the settings)

When I sign up directly through a mailpoet form, I receive the email for the Double-Optin and the status is correct.

What can this be?

I would like to see the Mailpoet addon translated in french (France).
Actually, in Development (trunk) all strings are translated and waiting for approval :

I can see there’s not Editor to approve these translations.
What can I do to have a french translation released ?

I’m running WP 5.1.1 with WooCommerce 3.6.2 and Mailpoet 3 3.24.0 and version 1.1.5 of your plugin.

When enabling and setting up your plugin 3 things happen:

– The checbox appears as it should on the checkout page ??

– The payment part on the checkout page hangs with a turning wheel, and it is impossible to proceed to the payment ??

– I get three debug warning messages on the front-page of the site (not the other pages) with errors: “Trying to get property of non-object in … wp-includes/class-wp-query.php” for lines 3918, 3920 and 3922 ??

When I disable you plugin things go back to normal.

The problem also remains when your plugin is active even if I untick the checkbox “Enable subscription”

This seems to be the exactly same problem as in a previous support question: “Woocommerce – Mailpoet Plugin breaks the functioning of the checkout page”.

Was that problem ever resolved?

Hello, though all settings seem to be correct, there is nothing at all shown on our checkout page. Current setting is “before order notes”, but it is not working with any other setting too. “Let customer unsubscribe through checkbout page” is set too.

Does this plugin still work?

Also, can we add newsletter control to the WooCommerce account pages?
Or is there any other plugin which can do that?

Hi.

I have configured the plugin and the checkbox to subscribe the user in a list doesn’t appear.

I have tried to disable all plugins, change the place where the checkbox should appear and it doesn’t work.

The only thing that appears is the title “subscribe to the list” but not the checkbox or any other text.

I have also tests if after the payment the user appears on the list and not, the list is empty, so it doesn’t work.

– I have tested to disable all plugins and the issue remains.
– I have tested as no-logged user. (private browser mode)
