The plugin is good and does what it says. However, upon using it, I realize it has a profound effect on the arrangement of posts and makes things a little difficult.
The plugin automatically rearranges my posts on the backend in alphabetical order. Worse yet, it makes searching for posts very difficult. When you search for a post on the backend, the immediate results, have nothing to do with the search query.
Please, consider removing this side effect.
Thanks in advance
]]>Dear PUVOX,
We are testing “Add Hierarchy (parent) to post” plugin, in our test envronment (https://backup.emprender-facil.com/)
A test link is:
In the NON-AMP version, these links works correctly (shows its content correctly):
https://backup.emprender-facil.com/negocios-rentables-por-paises-en-america/
However, in the AMP version this happens:
https://backup.emprender-facil.com/negocios-rentables-por-paises-en-america/amp/ (shows its content correctly)
https://backup.emprender-facil.com/negocios-rentables-por-paises-en-america/15-negocios-rentables-en-el-salvador/amp/ (broken 404)
https://backup.emprender-facil.com/15-negocios-rentables-en-el-salvador/amp/ (doesn’t shows its content correctly)
https://backup.emprender-facil.com/negocios-rentables-en-san-salvador/amp/ (doesn’t shows its content correctly)
https://backup.emprender-facil.com/rutinas-para-emprender-y-su-importancia/amp/ (doesn’t shows its content correctly)
Your plugin, it’s AMP compatible?
I await your feedback.

]]>How can I make the plugin list all articles under “Parent Post” on the Edit page? Because right now it only shows published articles.
Also, how about showing articles with custom statuses instead of just ‘publish’?
Thanks!
]]>Hello admin, plugin is working good but I’m facing an issue with this as first, if I try to implement 2022 as permalink for child post it automatically adds 2022-2 for the same post. Please fix it. For instances – parent>child>2022 but its making parent>child>2022-2
Second, can I install this plugin on a large database production website?
Thank You!
First of all, thanks a lot for you help!!!
How can I contain the full path of my post, let me explain;
My custom-post hirrarchy is:
site.com/lottery/us-powerball/
When I’m createing a new post and wanted to call it “results” and put it understand the path, im getting:
site.com/lottery/us-powerball/results
As you can see, without the real hirrerchy “/lottery/” – how can I contains also the /lottery/?
]]>We have a bigger website with more than 20k post.
We want to use your plugin to add Hierarchy (parent) and divided the post to certain groups.
1. Is this plugin capable to handle large amount of posts?
2. Is the links hierarchied a permanent link? will it affect the cpu use with large number of posts?
I work as a web designer and has made several new web sites for different businesses. In this case with yet another new website I can see there is some options missing and I cant figure out why. On all the other sites I have made I have a parent checkbox option in the quick edit on each page. But not for this new website. The writing parent is there but not the checkbox. So I can not choose the front page for this web site. What can i do?
Also if I navigate to Dashboard > Settings > Reading I find that the entire top section is missing. Does this has something to do with it? And how may I fix that?
I have tried to deactivate all plugins and also tried to change theme if this could mess up something. But still no parent page option. The site is updated to the newest WP upgrade. Except these to things the rest (as I can see) looks to be good.
I so appreciate all help. I’m feeling really lost here.

]]>Hi,
if you open the below page, you could see the post parent “Redang Travel Guide” in the breadcrumb, which is good.
https://www.myisland.my/redang-island-activities
However, if you click the parent post in the breadcrumb, it didn’t lead to the parent post, which should be (https://www.myisland.my/redang-island-travel-guide/). Instead, it leads to the post search result page.
Please tell me how to make it lead to parent posts if click in breadcrumb.
thanks.
]]>Hi, I wanted to ask about url structure implications of using this plugin.
I am using this plugin on my website to add hierarchy parent to posts.
For my post using this plugin feature, I notice, for example both https://www.mydomain.com/parent-post/child-post/ and https://www.mydomain.com/child-post/ works.
I was not expecting https://www.mydomain.com/child-post/ to work, or I was at least expecting it to redirect to https://www.mydomain.com/parent-post/child-post/ .
Is this the expected behavior when using this plugin?
In another example, for pages on my website using default wordpress hierarchy parent function, for example, https://www.mydomain.com/parent-page/child-page/ , when I visit, https://www.mydomain.com/child-page/ , the page redirects back to https://www.mydomain.com/parent-page/child-page/
This is the behavior I was expecting from my https://www.mydomain.com/child-post/ url.
My SEO plugin shows https://www.mydomain.com/parent-post/child-post/ as the canonical for https://www.mydomain.com/child-post/ . So I know there shouldn’t be duplicate content issues, from an SEO standpoint.
I simply wanted to ask if there are any negative implications for this url behavior?
The plugin works great, so thank you for creating and sharing it!
]]>I installed the plugin and set a post to be the child of another post. Child post shows fine but the parent post gives a 404. If I disable the plugin the parent post shows normally. “Make post links hierarchied” is set to Yes. If I set it No then the parent post shows normally. Anyway we can get this to Yes? Permalinks is set to “Month and name” so that should be meeting the “in “Settings>Permalinks” the structure should contain %postname%, otherwise this won’t work” requirement.
Thanks!
]]>This plugin seems great! It’s cool it updates the url to have the child page be a level below the parent page. Is there any way to have this also reflected in the breadcrumbs on the post? Thanks!
]]>I have some issue with redirect.
Normally if we make parent on page it autometically redirect like this.
domain.com/parent/child_page_name
If someone hit like this domain.com/child_page_name
it will redirect to domain.com/parent/child_page_name
but on post that redirect not working. so you will see it generate two url like this.
domain.com/post_parent/child_post
domain.com/child_post
it not redirect, so google will count two url which is bad.
please solve that.
Hi there,
Id’d like to set a Page (mydomain.com/blog) as parent for all of my Posts.
The goal being to generate hierarchical urls for my posts like
mydomain.com/blog/mypost1
mydomain.com/blog/mypost2
Etc.
It seems only Posts (not Pages) can be selected in the Parent combo box added to the post editor by your plugin.
Is there any option to make Pages also appearing in this combo?
Thanks in advance for your reply,
Chris
Using this plugin, a parent selecting option appears for the posts and it is working fin. But it is not working for custom post types created using Custom Post Type UI plugin.
There is an option in the settings page to give the custom post types name, I have given there my custom post type name. But the parent selecting option is not appearing in the custom post type add/edit page. Any solution to this?
