I find this very useful but now have to look for an alternative if I cant troubleshoot it because it stopped working after a recent upgrade 24/04/2020.

Great for customizing and tinkering with your WP installation on the fly, without hardcoding any changes in the theme, etc.

I have been using this plugin and it has been working great so far.
Helped me add a necessary code tweak and maintain it even with my limited php knowledge.
Thanks to the developers for making this available and keeping it up to date!

C’est simple , Je ne peux plus faire sans ce plugin.

But when I do, it’s because it deserves 5-stars.
Hat’s off to the gentleman that originally wrote this plugin and had so many ignorant people discourage his continuation of supporting it… GLASS UP to the gentleman that took it over and made it even better. I love this so much. Nothing like a quick dirty way to write your own micro-plugins for, like… anything. It’s really great. Thanks.

Excellent replacement for the Shortcode Exec PHP plugin which it seems is no longer supported.

This is an excellent plugin. I’ve been wanting this functionality for a while and was putting off doing it myself and I’m glad I did.
I found it intuitive to use with a clean layout, makes it easy to dynamically add shortcodes, and filter/action hook right in the WP Admin.
Thanks!

… that is easy to use and was very helpful in conjunction with one of Michael’s other plugins named Form to Post. On top of the great functionality the author gives first class support. Thank you, Michael!

Super plugin!, anyone still on the retired Shortcode Exec and worried about wp’s constant warnings, use this one. Once you understand it, it works very well.
It could do with a little bit of docu (info buttons, examples) right on screen (there’s no docu at all, it expects you are a programmer) – All in one SEO does this very well: info texts clickable below every single option and entry – but then, Michael should leave such extras for a paid version, to get some reward.

As the author says fiddling with wordpress archives like functions.php is not a good idea. Ive done that in the past and your web ends being an immense black hole that eats your efforts, as you need to document every change to know what you did. Sooner or later you end stuck in some wordpress version or in a theme because you have dozens of small changes here and there.
Enough. Everything should be inserted from admin area and stay there even after any update. That not means that some update wont prove it does not like that code you inserted but at least it will not be deleting them on every update.
The only downside i see is that it is so simple that i dont see any premium margin for the author and save for donations i dont know if he will maintain the plugin. But for the moment as of 4.3.1 looks like working fine.

It is just simple to use…. as it should be.

Plugin was very helpful for beginner like me who doesn’t have wordpress or PHP experience. Author was very supportive and helpful in resolving the issue I had

Well thought out and implemented cleanly. Thank you for the excellent plugin.

Add just a few php code in this plugin in stead of creating child theme functions file. Easy!

Thank goodness. Just what I need for a simple function to change another plugin’s default parameter.

I needed to add some conditional logic to a text widget on my frontpage and it was really driving me quite mad. Installing this plugin and tucking the following two lines into the top of it:
add_filter( "widget_text", "shortcode_unautop");
add_filter( "widget_text", "do_shortcode");
allowed me to then create and call the code immediately.
Being a real neophyte to WordPress/PHP I also found the following 2 resources saved my hide, because I had a syntax error take me out at the knees pretty quickly:
PHP Code Checker:
and Shortcodes Generator:
https://generatewp.com/shortcodes/
I’m really impressed with just how easy it is to add things in independant of my theme and know I’m not going to lose them with an update.
Thanks, Michael, for sharing such a smart, simple and essential tool!
Can’t live without this.

I hate to create a child theme just for a single function that I need additionally in functions.php as my theme stores all settings in the DB and each update would remove my function. But now with this neat plugin I’m ready to go without adding again and again with any theme update! Thanks a lot for this time saver.
