This plugin is such a disappointment. I changed from 10to8 to this because it offers package scheduling and the other features on the squarespace [new owner] looked so impressive. The problem is it is OVERSOLD. The whole reason for my purchase, the packages offer, cannot even be seen embedded on my website because of a silly height restriction and mandatory scrolling bar which “Support” is seemingly unable to do anything about. “Support” don’t work weekends, by the way. Actually, I think maybe they just don’t work. I asked “Support” why I couldn’t decide the order of my offers on the screen, and they said I could “as long as I didn’t include packages”, which have to always go at the bottom of any list?!?! It is this kind of maddening “logic” which is so frustrating about this plugin. Squarespace must know what they’re doing, but they seem to have wanted to take over and brand their name on the plugin in their site design software, rather than worry about it being used as a plugin on anybody else’s site. Did I mention it was also OVERPRICED? There are more reliable and logically scheduling software out there. I should have read the dire reviews here first.

This plugin allows you to embed an Acuity minisite within a wordpress site using iframes. I suppose it might be useful to a site owner who has never used WordPress, but anyone with basic WordPress knowledge can do that without a plugin.
The support link just goes to the generic Acuity help, it doesn’t mention wordpress at all, so it is essentially undocumented.
It’s not possible to create links to specific classes or events using this plugin. It’s literally just a shortcode to create an iframe that shows the Acuity hosted site. Very poor.
This plugin isn’t listed on Acuity’s own list of integrations and I can see why.

The writers of the documentation and CRM emails for this product make using it fun and cute. If you have a very basic need for scheduling where things don’t get too complex, this can be a very reliable solution for you.
One shortcoming of using Acuity is that your clients will have to register / log in separately for the booking service in addition to your WP site (if you have premium content or private pages for them). This is cumbersome and confusing to many of my clients.
When multiple locations, calendars, and service providers start to get complicated, help is nowhere to be found. I have placed two inquiries in the past week with no response to either and there is no phone or chat support.
I have to go elsewhere, my clients can’t keep waiting to book appointments.

I have been using acruity for three months now and I love it. It’s easy to use and tech savvy. I love the uniqueness of personalization the site offers and I love the price! I also love the personal options to block out your schedule or block out non compliant clients from scheduling appointments. I think it caters to the business owner without creating confusion for the clients, as he or she may schedule their appointments. I also love the free trial period and access to change anything at anytime to your site without going through an administrator. Love acruity!!

I really did my research for the best scheduling plugin out there, and let me tell you Acuity wins hands down.
It is very easy to use and incredibly intuitive. It’s beauty lies in sheer simplicity
You do not even need to install this plugin, just use the embed code from their website and it works like magic.
Unlike lot of other plugins, they do not ask for credit card details while signing up for trial version (14days). Yay!.
Their pricing is very competitive too. Almost 1/3rd of what vCita charges. Moreover, I found vCita to be rather complex, definitely more complex than Acuity. Also, Acuity had an option for discount coupon codes which vCita did not.
I really love the intake form feature in acuity, it is very nifty.
At the end of it, I would really not mind paying the amount they’re charging. ($10/mo for single user business).
They’ve really thought it out well.
Look no more, go for this product, you’ll be thankful you did.

This was really easy to set up to have my clients book appointments online. No more contact form and back and forth! Woohoo!
Great customer support. The plugin looks really nice on my site too, it’s more than just a button, it’s the full scheduler within WP.

this plugin is simple but works really nicely. it’s the same scheduling features as the normal site which is good, and blends in with my theme so it looks like a part of the page.
you need a paid account with acuity to use this plugin though, which is why 1 star off. i guess everyone needs to pay the bills somehow.

I am a longtime user of Acuity’s services, and I had such high hopes for this plugin. But alas, it falls way short of what is required to plug Acuity’s Scheduling system into your WordPress site.
Plug in (really a short code) just inserts an iframe into the page.
I will keep using their service, and maybe future versions will do better.
