We really love Accredible and there is so much potential lost with this mostly neglected plug-in that is otherwise a good idea.

The shortcode is broken and simply does not work. That took an hour of my day.

It’s a shame because, as a membership site, all we want to do is allow our members to access their credentials to share and build.

I spoke to Accredible yesterday, and asked them when they would have a new version of the plugin, given that wordpress has updated to 3.6 recently, and we are staring at a PHP move to v8 soon.

They said “it’s on our to-do list, but right now it’s not the top priority”.

Such a shame, Accredible is a wonderful platform with great integration capabilities. I hope they update the plugin soon. I’m off to evaluate the use of their competitors: Acclaim.

I have installed the plugin and have it sending out the badges I want though the shortcode to display a badges ‘dashboard’ is not. The closest thing to documentation I can find for it is a single shortcode snippet that does not work. I’m wondering if there is any better documentation or information about getting the shortcode to display or work at all?

How do we actually verify the credentials? – That is, present them on-screen.
Just because any website says “Blockchain Secured”, or “Verified Issuer” does not necessarily make it so ?? What’s the hash, and how to verify?

I tried to add accredible-certificates to my site with ability to let students verify their certificate by codes.
In installation page it mentioned that i can find it in sidebar in theme>appearance

I’m running Academia Theme and when the plugin is installed nothing shows in the setting menu.

I see “Accredible Certificates” but no location to enter an API as described in the video or documentation.

Any thoughts on how to resolve this?

This looks interesting. I’m looking for a method to create fields on a certificate that don’t exist in the LearnDash plugin. I’ve got some questions/comments before I even begin:

1. You require an api key to begin. Your link takes me to your site, but not to where I obtain an api key. I headed over to the certificates page and it was still not immediately clear what to do. Direct links to getting the api key – or at least a more detailed explanation on how to do this would encourage me to try some things out before abandoning the process.
2. I’ve never used (or heard of) the Academy theme. So I went to download it from the repository and it didn’t exist. I conclude from that that it is a premium theme. Again, a direct link to the theme or a quick mention that it is a premium theme would be helpful.
3. Everyone needs to be able to experiment with a plugin before buying in – especially since there are so few users and no reviews thus far. If you could make it easier to experiment somehow before having to buy the academy theme, it might encourage usership.
4. The idea is cool – hooking into another LMS to create a complete certificate! If you could address some of the issues with documentation and experimenting I’d love to try it out!
