Slashes appearing before apostrophes

Whenever I enter an apostrophe into a custom text box such as the ones used by comment relish or register plus it adds an apostrophe before it. Such as I/’m instead of I’m. It doesn’t happen on posts on the blog, just on backend stuff.

Anyone have a clue as to how I could fix this? I’ve searched for days looking for the answer and haven’t seen it solved yet.
