Will creating a child theme delet my changes?

Hello aikichick2012,

The purpose of child theme that whenever a pareant theme is updated , the site will be up. So if you want to work with child theme please ensure that keep all changes within the child theme(it’s a good practice).

You can still create the child theme, it’s better . The changes you made with the child theme that will remain uneffected whether you upgrade the parent theme .
