    Hi!

The audio plays after I close the popup. Even if I reload the page or revisit the page. Just the audio pplays, the popup window is gone.

Any idea how to fix this? Thank you!

    Hey @jeffm2008,

    Hope you’re well.

Can you give more details about which service are you using for audio files, how did you add that to pop up and with which settings? So I can replicate this on my test file and try to find a solution.

    Cheers,

Sure. Theme: mesmerize (latest). WP: (latest). Woocommerce (latest)

It’s the audio from an embedded youtube video. I used the embed code in the ‘text’ editor.

    Specified a direct URL.

I’m displaying the popup on the most recent version of a woocommerce single product page.

I’ve tried a bunch of different popup plugins. They all do this. I’ve tested on Chrome and Firefox.

Something about needing to destroy the popup entirely after closing. Or pausing the youtube video on close.

Plays great. popup shows up. Audio stops when I close the popup. But, the real problem is if I navigate away from the page and return to the page with the popup, just the audio starts playing in the background.

Happens with all the popup plugins. For me anyway.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hey @jeffm2008,

    Hope you’re well.

Thank you for all information. I tested with auto played YouTube videos and you’re right it’s still playing while popup invisible. But I think it’s happening because of popup creating after the page loaded in case it needs to trigger at some point on the page. And it’s happening on all popup plugins because of I think all of them working same way to provide visitors smooth experience while triggering popup.

So the only way can be using YouTube API to stop player while it’s not visible on page. I searched a little bit to find is there any ready to use code for this but no luck yet. So you need to hire a developer to write js codes for your site with using YouTube iFrame API https://developers.google.com/youtube/iframe_api_reference

Or you need to add YouTube video as not auto played.
