I used POST method but I got the same error:

nonce is not required for generating auth cookie.

I have just checked and it works fine, plz check your username, password and make sure you are able to login to wordpress using these before trying endpoint.

please check it and I change username/password.

it is the recaptcha plugin that is blocking auth cookie. Please disable it or remove it from login form and try again.
