Just opened Chrome Dev Tools and it says there is no manifest file, but when I FTP I can see the file “superpwa-manifest.json”….??

    Hello @nchisley

Thanks for trying out Super Progressive Web Apps.

I see two manifests in the header, one from SuperPWA and another one: https://costprojections.com/wp-content/uploads/fbrfg/manifest.json

Not sure where the second one is coming from, probably another PWA or manifest plugin? Please find the source of that manifest and remove it and then try again.

    Everything else looks great.

    Hai @nchisley,

Thanks for using Super Progressive Web Apps.

I have removed the other manifest file and do not see any other plugins for PWA or manifest. Still not working.?

I still see the link to that manifest file in the page source. Just deleting the file is not going to be good enough.

If you check your page source, you will see this:

    <link rel="manifest" href="/wp-content/uploads/fbrfg/manifest.json">

The manifest is inserted into the head via code, probably by the theme, if you do not have a related plugin.

If you are not comfortable handling code, please send me a login via: https://millionclues.com/contact/ and I will look into it for you.

    Best regards.

To give a public update, we have collaborated over email and was able to figure this out.

I am waiting on @nchisley for a confirmation on the same.

Arun is awesome! You got it working buddy! Please tell us what the issue was?

    Arun Basil Lal

    (@arunbasillal)

Glad to hear that Nate. The issue was not the hosting or the theme, but that chrome wasn’t detecting the manifest.

Moved manifest much higher on the page and now its all good. Added the fix to the core of SuperPWA as well and will roll it out with the next release.

Hope you enjoy your Super Progressive Web Apps. Please support us with good vibes and good friends ??

    Have a good weekend!

When is next release being rolled out? I have other sites that need to be updated.

    Arun Basil Lal

    (@arunbasillal)

@nchisley It was not a bug or anything, you can go ahead and try it on the other websites and it will probably work as it is working on all the other users.

In the specific website there was a ton of stuff in the wp_head and that was the possible reason.

If you have issues on a different website, please email me the login and I will add the same fix there.

Next version should be out by mid next week.

How often should the “Add to homescreen” popup be firing? It came up on my phone once but it has not since and it won’t show on my friends iPhone..?
