so the easiest one is to use our shortcodes in your pages or posts.
But usually theme developers aren’t really giving good positions to put our slider, so you should use the PHP publishing:

As you see here from step 5.:

and usually people are looking for the </header> codepart in the theme, which probably will be in the header.php file, so you could open that up first to take a look there. If you found it, you could insert our slider right under it.
