What happens if the service disappears?

    Before I activate any 2-factor authentication program that depends on a third-party service (such as miniOrange) I must ask this —- if all of a sudden, this service were to vanish, would I be locked out of my WordPress account?

    Don’t tell me to just disable the plug-in if that happens — because to do that, I’d have to be able to log on, which I can’t do if I’m locked out of my own account.

    So — what would happen to my ability to log-on to my account if I enable 2-factor authentication via this plug-in, and then the service suddenly disappears?

    Hi @sophiaofcf,

    Rest assured, we will not be stopping our services all of a sudden. We have 10000+ active customers who are using our services. So you do not have to worry about it.

    In general, if you are locked out of your account because of any plugin, you will be able to gain immediate access to your site by renaming the plugin folder from FTP. The plugin gets deactivated and you will be able to log in using your WordPress Username and password.
