    Hi all

Please ehlp if you can…I’m new to Worpress and uploaded a template which came with the usual ‘hello world’ post for the home page. I deleted this thinking it wasn’t important and now I am unable to edit, add posts or content to the home page.

I can still see what I think is the PHP file (titled ‘hello’) in the plugins folder but don’t know how to get it back on the blog? The only other alternative that I thought might remedy the problem if I can’t get this back is to somehow hide the original homepage in the main (top) navigation bar and create another page named ‘home’ but I’m not sure this is possible? I’d really appreciate your help with this…I’m absolutely stuck until a hero comes along in the form of one of you good people!

    Many thanks for reading

    Nickie x

    Hi

In the admin area, go to Settings / Reading

See if a static home page has been set. If so, turn that off. That will put your blog page on your home page, and you should then see your posts.

Get this part working first – if you do want a static home page that can be set up later.

    Hi stvwlf,

    Thanks for the information.
